The gameplay are nice, I like how telegraphed the attacks are other tahn the fly and the third boss shooting attack which are not telegraph but its still simple to dodge so its fine. The overall visual and the music are nice too.

Tho the attack can have some more visual and sound feeback, like how their are sound effect when you get hitted by the boss.

But still, cool game!

Was a little bit frustrating for me XD. But overall I liked the way it's so simplified and I loved the bosses.

Good job! Will come and play it more thoroughly, trying to get through a basic test run and at least give it a try! Trying to get to everyone I can!

Hey there, I am trying to get other to re-submit their reviews for my game if possible...it was deleted and removed from the Jam on accident based on a technicality which was solved between the Jam Host and a particular asset used in the game...please if you have time, energy, and/or generosity to re-saved your ratings/reviews for the game. Wow, really gorgeous pixel art! I especially love the shadow images left during dashes. The boss designs are interesting, and the various rewards add a lot of depth. I would recommend making the player movement a little faster, though. It is pretty difficult to dodge most boss attacks with the slow movement speed and dash cooldown. More vfx feedback on attacks connecting would also be appreciated. Great work, and with a little more polish, this could be truly outstanding!

Pixelart is nice even if I'm not really into it. Bosses (becides third, it just a heart icon lol) are cool looking, EVA angels vibes. Character feels really responsive.

Boons after the bosses are really confusing, it's says about some kind on fire damage, but I (seemingly) don't have any kind of firedealing attacks, the shooting buff, but I can't even shoot? Maybe the lack of time, but it's the only dowside for me - the buffs that you can get really not worth the HP penalty. 

But becides that, the game  is pretty neat!

I think the game could have been a little faster and more visceral but I really enjoyed how things were balanced, it wasn't too punishing but I was still on my toes the whole time. Great work!

Love the lil fox dude. Like other people had mentioned the movements/controls kind of felt slow. As if it was a bit delayed. Overall great job!

Cute art style and fun bosses. I think the controls could have been a bit less sluggish. Also I don’t feel like the exchange element didn’t have that big of an impact. I went for a glass cannon kind of build, but it didn’t even really feel like i was that fragile at the end.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it! Would you mind expanding on the sluggish controls part if you have time? Are the controls not responsive enough? Or maybe the character is too slow? 

If the controls are not responsive - did you play on web and do you have hardware acceleration on? For chrome - Settings > System > Use hardware acceleration when available.

Yeah, I felt like the character was a bit on the slow side. Although I did think that the bosses were well balanced around the movement. So the whole game came off as fun but slow, rather than just the character being unfairly slow. I guess it’s pretty subjective though. It didn’t affect things too badly, and I still enjoyed the game overall.

Really well done game! I really love the art style, the bosses and their attack patterns look great. The music is cool too, and fits the game really well. I specially liked how well designed the bosses patterns were, the patterns were interesting and well telegraphed, at no point did the game feel unfair when I got hit, it always felt like I could see it and should've avoided it. Overall, a really nice game, good job!

Your game offered a delightful experience. The art style, though simple, harmonized seamlessly with the game's ambiance. While the bosses were satisfactory, incorporating additional animations could have heightened their allure.

The music aptly enhanced the atmosphere, and the controls proved both responsive and intuitive.

Yet, the combat faltered in leaving a lasting impression; the attacks lacked the necessary punch.

In summary, a commendable game overall. Well done!

Thanks for the feedback! For the lack of punch part - would you just say that the enemy and player need more juice/sfx on hits and attacks? Or is it something else?

Boss's attack patterns are very well designed! Player and Boss are evenly matched, and the effects are simple but very effective. Love it! (btw I missed submitting my game on the event page, it won't be rated, but I'd also welcome feedback :D
