How does your game fit the theme?
There are three levels based on going down different platforms. From the overground, to the underground to the earth's core.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I made the code myself, but I used assets from the Unity Asset Store

Interesting idea for a game, but the small viewscreen and unforgiving fall damage makes this more of a memory game than a platformer. Really, the way to solve this issue is either make the screen vertical, or give the player some way to look where they're jumping first.

I also seemed to be able to stick to walls, I'm not sure if that's intentional, but if you used it to make a wall jump that could also help to solve the aforementioned issue.

An okay little platformer. But more gameplay would have been great.

There's a few changes that could help.

  • First of all, most of the time you don't know where to jump next. This could be fixed by moving the camera down relative to the player. I mean, if your goal is to dive deeper then even having the player at the edge of the screen would work.
  • Next up in terms of the animations you could maybe stop the run animation faster. Not sure how you do it, so I can't really tell you the specifics.
  • Some of the platforms are stretched. You typically don't do that with pixel art. Instead you can add two identical platforms next to each other and then you have a longer platform. If you have problems with collisions you can always parent the second platform to the first and a composite collider so they're considered one big collider.
  • Also you get stuck if you fall to the side of a platform and hold movement keys.

In spite of all of this criticism, the game looks nice, controls are smooth. Good job!

game feels a bit try and error, but the concept is cool and the controls feel good.

Good game. Simple and bright graphics with easy controls. There are musical effects, but some music is missing.

I love platformers and this jam, there are not to much of them. Really nice one: nice animations, nice jump, just I would love some directions, I was just jumping blindly and memorizing right ways. Good job!

Good platformer and interesting assets implementation

Seems decent, I would've maybe moved camera a bit down, a lot of jumps I've made were completely blind :D

Cool little platformer, the asset for the player was really well done.

Looks like a beginner game and not bad for one.

Graphically, I would stay away from stretching my images like that, use individual tiles or something like that.

Gameplay-wise, I say make the camera a little bigger so I don't have to do blind leaps into the abyss :D

Also the character should fall down faster, it feels unnatural for him to fall down that slow.

Also maybe add fall damage to punish skipping down all the way to the end of the level.

Nice work, the gameplay was simple but felt good and I liked the artwork.

Good submission here and you hit the brief well i agree with the guy below about the gravity as you fall a little slow but otehr than that well done on the submission

Good start, i would bump up the gravity a bit, maybe pick up some concepts from GMTK's platformer project. The idea of a platform that is vertical can be interesting for mobile devices.

I like the sprite and the fact there are numerous difficulty settings. Not a fan of the jump sound though, idk why but it bugged me.

It is a good concept but there are not many mechanics and really isn't something really interesting to do
