Really nice metroidvania game! Love the simplicity of your art style :)
This is awesome
make enemies It will be better
good game
Sensitive controls and game mechanics are good. Graphics and concept are good.
Solid little metroidvania, but I was so ready to fight some enemies though. Map was a very useful addition.
Decent puzzle game, controls feel nice
Neat puzzle game. I usually don't like puzzle games but this was nice. Graphics and sounds excellent. Level design is masterpiece Good job!
Can you try and rate my game ?
I like the art style, simple but nice, giving it a little bit of a retro feel. The sound design is great. At some points was a little bit confused about where to go and how to reach it, but I got it. Great Job! c:
Very cool Metroidvania-like game. The aesthetics and game design choices are great. The circular map was also great. Did you design the map in one peace and chopped it up into quadrants?
I liked the design choice of not adding enemies, while it was a bit slow at the start, memorizing where to go, and how to access everything was enough I guess :D
Two points, which could be improved upon though. The music while fitting and being memorable could use another song and the heart/red container being filled when you gather all pieces filling upwould emphasize, that you could unlock the red door. I just stumbled upon the red door. Otherwise I would have searched for more red parts. Great game adding a timer and score board could even make it into a speed running puzzler, adding further interest to replay.
Glad you liked it!
True, there could have been more emphasis on the red key (that's what I call it though it isn't really a key) being completed. The design for that key was actually changed almost at the end of the jam since its first form was quite a bit more confusing. At first it was supposed to be only one key for the red door but later I decided to split it into 3 so there could be a bit more of a sense of progress towards the end goal and my first design didn't really work for the split key.
About the map, I designed it with a drawing and then built each room separately in Godot. The process was a bit weird since the top rooms are upside-down on the drawing and passages from one layer to another could be offset when the layers weren't aligned. I'm happy it all worked out in the end though.
Also I thought about adding a second song for when you got all the red pieces but I ended up separating the current song into 2 tracks: 1 that played all the time and another that only started when you started the game and then stopped on the ending sequence to give it a more dramatic effect and loop back to the menu smoothly.
Great graphics, well designed and it was fun! I only found one (maybe?) bug, where if you shot, then moved to a different room, the bullet wouldn't get destroyed, and you could activate the yellow switch to get the rockets without using the blue portals. Overall, it's a good entry!
Oh wow, really didn't think of that. I think I'll let that one in since its not game breaking but thanks for notifying me!
Cool game, it was fun exploring the differents rooms, liked the sounds and music
Really good short game, at the end i expected a Boss fight i was afraid.
The music is good, the graphism are good too, it was fun.
I really liked the minimap and the rockets.
I thought about placing enemies in the game but in the end I decided to really just focus on the puzzle element especially because of time since I started late in the jam. Then having a boss wouldn't really make sense without introducing combat first so it ended up being just the dramatic end.
Glad you enjoyed the game!
Nice I hope to see more of your games in the future :D
I really enjoy the minimalistic art style and the pretty intuitive gameplay.
