Love the simplicity, fast pace and the art.
Nice story for the game. Funny game, just a little difficult control, not enough oxygen for the fish
Levers reset after die if I don't save at checkpoint. It was not clear at start.
I think bluish and greenish look was a bit much. My eyes taken after playing 5-10 minutes.
Difficulty is a bit much. Every time seeing a new thing is your dead in the game generally.
Sometimes I am not running to air because checkpoints are closer and reborn with full air is better than going to air. That goes against the main mechanics of the game I think.
Dead end roads seemed funny at first, but later on it started to bother me.
After getting the dash mechanic, redirecting to dark environment seems like the wrong choice. The only place I could use the dash due to the view size was the rocks.
Thanks for the feedback, we probably should have clarified that checkpoint thing, and that difficulty thing is 100% true, the game felt balanced when we were playing it, but yeah, for other people not so much. And about that air, I checkpoints closer to goal thingy for the green place way too difficulty right place obstacle course thingy, but I guess I didn't think about it for other places. And there are signs for the dead end roads, you need to follow them. And about that dash, I didn't think about that fact, but you'r so correct, probably some larger area with many jumps and stuff would have been better for the third area.
Fun story game. I liked the mechanics and was really interesting.
Thanks for playing, and I watched your stream, and like you can say that it was way too difficult, I won't get sad....
But like yeah, we realized how difficult the game actually was only after submitting, because when your like player your own game, it's not that hard, but yeah. And the "red ball", was a lever, but because the bushes were kinda a last minute addition, we didn't realize that the lever went behind the bushes. Also we probably should have clarified the fact that everything you did, will get lost if you don't save at a checkpoint, including levers, so yeah, and also that dash to the rock felt like an obvious thing, but I guess it wasn't.
Also you actually beat the game, which is pretty cool, as said the game was way too difficult.
You're totally right with the whole thing about how the developer of the game has an easier time playing than the player since they have more experience with the game, which is why often you gotta view the game from the perspective of someone who doesn't know what they're doing (or get playtesters, but then again this is a game jam so totally understandable)
I do try to complete every game I play (unless it doesn't have an ending or it is really truly possible) even if I have a whole bunch of games to go through.
And I do suppose I was saying the game was hard in more so an entertaining way, but it is still a good idea (mainly for game jams) to make easy to play games as players won't spend too much time on the game
Fun short cute little game, loved the art, the fish momentum could be weird at some times but with persistence you can get through, I'd suggest making it a bit more reliable since when failing you wanna the player feel like it is their own fault and not the game when they die. But overall, on a jam, where you cannot really playtest for balance on stuff like that (my own game suffers a bit of similar issues) that much, it is a really solid entry. Good job

Fun little game you have here! I really enjoyed the underwater effects, and the movement felt good. I have to agree with some comments below that the oxygen timer was a little too short and there was no margin for error. Maybe if you had some hearts that could deplete every second when you run out of air it would help? Overall though really great work! I did unfortunately get stuck and just didn't have the skills to complete it, but I'm not very good at these types of games so that's not really a criticism or anything 😅
You can check out my gameplay video playthrough here for some more feedback (and cringe at my awful lack of skill!)
Umm, you passed the hardest part, you need to go to a checkpoint after getting the dash and then you have it, and then you can break a rock that's earlier to move on. That right spike part is so much harder than everything else, but we kinda realized that after submitting so yeah, everything else is so much easier.
Ah ok, yeah I figured it was something like that. I guess I just missed the rock, and at some point near the end I lost the ability to dash. Happy to hear I made it through the hardest part though!
Really liked the intro cinematic, but I felt that 5 seconds was a little too short for the oxygen timer.
Great game. The graphics are nice and the gameplay is really fun for me. I think the sound is not so good configured. But It is a good job!
