Woah, this was creepy.. I don't know why, the fast knock gives me the chills. Anyway, the sound design in general is good, gives a good atmosphere to the game! Great first chapter, I'm looking forward to learn what the door holds :D

How does your game fit the theme?
How the story will unfold after the character opens the door?
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We used assets for the visuals, some sounds, and the character movement. Everything is credited in the description

really well done! good job making this looks so polished in such a short time!
very cool and aesthetic game my friend. It's very creepy, I like it. The theme fits very well, do you mind trying my game too?

Atmospheric!
Creepy and cool thought inserts. And that knocking on the door and the music are scary, cool!
I wish I understood where the code is)))
Cool game!
I love the atmosphere you've built here with the sound design, graphics, and lighting. Walking through the orbs of light to get the character's inner monologue was a cool idea and the story details there were intriguing; I found myself really wanting to learn more about the character.
I missed the hint for the combination order the first time I played; I got the order by process of elimination though so I didn't really mind too much. I think if you wanted to draw more attention to it you could place one of those dialogue orbs close to it.
Overall I really enjoyed it and I'm excited to find out what happens in the next chapter. Congratulations on a great game jam!
The assets were used very well! The atmosphere with the sound and music is great. I love the game and love the idea of bit size chapters. Great way to scope for a game jam but still have an appeal. Well done!
Thank you! We knew we wouldn't be able to tell the whole story well in only one week. The writer designed it so we can work only on one part and it still will be interesting. Also, we value people above work, so it was important everyone was well-rested and could do other things besides working on the game.
Short but very well made!
The assets and level design comes together nicely and the fitting music and ambient sounds add to the atmosphere. Mechanics were very simple and easy to understand. It's a shame the game is so short, because you piqued my interest in the story.
Will play next chapter when it comes out.
The ambience is really well made, reminded me a bit of Amnesia, with that creepy vibe, slow stepping sounds and the constant knocking on the door, congrats!
Is there a way to know for sure in what order the numbers are for the code? I tried different positions until I found the right one ^^'
Anyway, good job, would have loved to be able to play what's next!
Very creepy style. But very appealing to curiosity. I confess that I was curious to find out what's behind the door, but at the same time scared! Congratulations!
It was too dark to see the stairs lol Atmosphere was good though. As other have said it's unfortunate that it was incomplete unless that was the whole idea... lol
What a cliffhanger.... I really liked the atmosphere and little puzzles. Hope you can continue making another chapter
Wish it was complete. The atmosphere and music are very well done. This fade in player thoughts was great idea!
I was having a lot of fun. Unfortunate that it's incomplete :(
I would say that it may have been a tad too dark, but that could have just been on my end.
Great job though on what you have.
Nice game! Plays through very nicely.
Very unfortunate we won't see what is behind that door yet!
