How does your game fit the theme?
You travel through a castle and have to enter the right doors to find out what treasure lies behind them

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Every piece of art and code was made by me. But 2 sprites have been reused from an older game. The audio toggle button, and the circular sawblade.

Great job! Love the death animation and those levels were far from elementary. Also good placement of the scrolls.

So cool, the game is simple but clear, love how the game feels in the controls and the details, great game

Daaaaaaamn that's well polished! Who has time to add some little secrets in a jam game, what the hell, did you even sleep xD?

The game was really enjoyable, the graphics are really nice, the music is fitting, the secret ending hooked me until the end, the level design is really good, and the twist of remembering each door is interesting ^^. Honestly, a really, really solid game, and I enjoyed every second of it, great job!

Thank you for the nice words

and yes, I did sleep, a lot actually.

The art is great!!! i love the death animation, the music is catchy and never got tired of it. I would love a death counter to see how many times i died>.<. I collected all the scrolls then had to close the game and when i opened it again did the eastergg and called mea cheater T^T so had to do everything again, and i enjoyed it!

Hey, thanks for the feedback and congrats on beating the entire game!

The scrolls don't get saved when closing and re-opening the game, that's why the game thought you were a cheater and got there without the scrolls. We thought it would be funny to make this easter egg so people who read the hints in the comments won't be able to make it to the end. :)

Yeaah, it was funny and smart :3

The Tutorial was helpful LOL.

You should have shown it though whenever one presses play. If I had not read it beforehand - bye bye me :/

(I managed to forget the combination anyway after the second stage and ragequitted - sorryyyyyy)

But I actually did enjoy it! I just love the castle-vibe and the design!

Developer

Yeah, I get what you're saying

I wasn't sure whether to make it a dedicated button or make it pop up when pressing the play button

I decided to make a button because I thought it would be annoying if you played it multiple times and had to skip 3-4 textboxes.

Thanks for the feedback :)

maybe you could have added a "skip tutorial" button or something like that. But from my experience almost noone clicks on tutorial so you as a developer has to force them to watch it, by showing it after they hit play!

Very cute game! Love the little knight and the music. Its quite difficult but im maybe just bad at platformers (skill issue). Nevertheless very fun game, good job!

Great game, it took me half an hour to get to the end.

The music is awesome! I think it's quite cruel to make player memorize the right doors from the start, but anyway I had fun playing your game!

Nice game! Proud to say I finished it! Of course I got to the end of level 3 and then completely forgot which door so had to replay it xD... I think the visuals and audio fit quite well, especially like the goofy death animation and sound. Difficult is quite high, but given the simplicity of the gameplay I think it fits very well. The levels being short and sweet and also help with that. Good job!
