How does your game fit the theme?
You guide a cat spirit to a door that leads either to hell or heaven, and they do not know whats behind a door that you will choose. There is a small reveal about the door to "hell" at the end.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, the only thing that wasn't made from scratch is the music and the plugin "Dialogic 2" for Godot 4.2

The dialogues where very funny.

Super cute! I love the visual style, the music track fits the vibe as well. The puns were on laser point.

Writing and theming were nice, but I would be interested in some sort of extra mechanics to help guide me on which door to send the cats through. When I hit 0 and was forced to send all remaining cats to hell, I felt like I made a mistake letting all the prior cats through to heaven!

I felt like a monster banishing cats to hell (until the end)!

such a cute game! had fun reading their resumes. All cats go to heaven, except when they zoomies on grannys stuff!

My cat definitely would end up in infurno. Adorable game, had a laugh and sentenced 15 cats to a bath. Love it.

This was such a cute game and a pleasure to play! 😭😭 Some of their deeds and sins really reminded me of my own cat lol :D Also it's very heart-warming that you included photos of shelter cats up for adoption<3 Oh and the mug is so funny hjsadkhjsDFSHJKFASD

Very cute Idea! The cat-punchlines were really funny and the theme was implemented well. The doors in the backround felt a bit off for me though

This game is a 10/10. Just this.

My god this game is something haha. The story is a delight, the ending is lovely. And oh my god the cat puns

What a charming game... the puns were really good! The bathing, the heater stuff, the pspsps... it was very funny and enjoyable 🙂 using photos from the shelter is very cute. The only big problem is that I found it really, really difficult to send any cat to infurno. I just couldn't do it hahaha (not in a "found a bug" sense, but in a "no cat should go to hell even if they are jerks IMO" sense).

The sins reminded me that yesterday, while I was playing Baldur's Gate III with a friend, he suddenly disconnected. Turns out two of his cats fought near his desktop, hit it, and then it turned off. When he tried to turn it on, some sparks and smoke appeared. But everything's fine now! Just wanted to share this cat sin.

Two observations (hope you don't mind):

  • Exiting the game on the HTML5 version crashes it. A fix for this is checking if the game build is a web one, and if it is, then the button does nothing. I think that in Godot these lines would do the trick:
    if OS.has_feature('web'):
        return
  • On the Credits screen, if you use a RichTextLabel to display the text, you could hyperlink the shelter's URL. I think this would make more people interested in checking their website!

Very enjoyable and funny game. I liked it a lot. Congrats and good luck!

Such a cute game it's Purtastic! The visuals are nice and the models well crafted! Even the idea is very original, couldn"t think of it myself!

The stories of some cats are very interesting.

One thing I had liked is that the music also should be playing on the main menu!

First time participating in a game jam and reviewing other people's work. This was a very fun and charming experience a lot of the good and bad deeds made me laugh, great job.

I'm also in the jam, and I know with more time everyone has a list of things they'd like to add or wanted to add. I try to provide the listed feedback in a constructive form to highlight different perspectives as a player and to show that I indeed did play the game.

  •   OMG, title screen looks so nice! The next level of polish would be a shader for the star sparkle. It would be nice to have some music on the title screen, even if it is the same as the game music.
  •   I might not be the target audience because the game is so heavy on storyline little too heavy on dialogue
  •  I was so excited for this game when the intro happened. I thought the game was going to be similar to the game called, "Papers, Please"
  •  I was hoping the game loop would tell me when I make a mistake or some scoring system to know when I made a mistake and what to look for

I would consider buying the game if it took a similar approach to "Papers, Please"

The story was nice, writing was so fun. Good job!
