Ranked from 40 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
A young mouse enjoys the stillness of nibbling in the night, only to be disrupted by the stomping of midnight snackers (the storm). At least they drop good treats!

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No. The game was built using Godot Engine, and some code / assets were re-used from previous projects (e.g. settings / credits / load progress). In addition, some audio was created before the jam!

The pixel art was pretty cute and the game was quite entertaining!  Nice take on the theme!

I also liked the small detail of the light shining in the game direction as the midnight snacker!

Only complaint is that you can accidentally enter your house while collecting the food, with no way to leave; that's how I died the first time playing.

Developer

Oooh thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it! Will try and reproduce that issue and hopefully fix it post-jam

Simple but very, very clever gameplay. I really loved it. So much fun. The rat gets hungry more and more easily as you play and the difficulty is growing instantly fast. I would play for an hour if not for that.

Developer

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback! I agree making some adjustments to the difficulty pacing is a good idea.

Really good game! Loved the minigame feel of it

Developer

Thanks! Minigame was definitely what I was going for. First jam in a long time, so wanted to keep scope small :)
