I did not know you can throw out a hammer using shift, I only knew after ending the game(?) snipping this using windows+shift+s. The way I dispatched enemies was by dropping a crate payload on top of them.

I thought this was a good platformer game combined with just a little bit of puzzle using the bat dropping the boxes mechanic. Also I found out a way to make floating platforms by dropping two boxes in quick succession, the boxes are suspended in mid air allowing me to breeze through some levels haha.

Ideally, you could just put the controls list at the itch.io game webpage instead, so that the players could have a heads up on what to do. I was surprised to be controlling a bat at the start of the game and not knowing what it could do. *I see that at the moment of writing this, other players have already addressed these. Ah, Might as well post it since I've written it already.

Lastly, nice guitar music :)

Imagine falling from floor 15 to 9 💀. Oh its definitely a tower alright.
Thanks for making the player respawnable, If I had to start again from the start I don't think my sanity would've handled it XD.
Melee all the way Deus Vult!

This was fun :) I wish I could rate your game but unfortunately I don't have a Ludum Dare account and it needs an invite code. Great game/test!

Unfortunately I have gotten stuck on the tower geometry 3 times now.  It's kind of a pain climbing up there again.
Then there's that one bat: "I guess you'll just have to climb again  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

Everything is fairly decent, the controls are ok for a climbing game, and most of the time the ice axe sticks great to the walls. The color switch doesn't work 100% of the time for me or does it need the player to be close to thee wall for it to actually happen?

[WARNING] If you downloaded the .exe, DO NOT PLAY ON FULLSCREEN, I find that the aiming is only truly accurate if the window is unmaximized. This also means you'll have a hard time buying (shooting) the items from the shop. I didn't notice this after playing 5 minutes in and wondered am I really aiming that bad?

It's hard to see where you're going at first, but after a few rounds you'll quickly pick up the background from the foreground. Would've also liked some I-frames instead of tanking 3 quick blob hits.

[THE GREAT]
If you like challenging, bullet hell shooters, you will like this game. The intro scene, the shooting animations, transitions, the music, the enemies, and the controls were all mwah.

Sorry for the long post, I just really liked this game and its definitely up there in my book.

Also:

Is this it? This was Beautiful.

At first try I purposely got caught because I don't want to break the hooman's stuff.

On the second try, it was time for CHAOS.

Play this game if you like cats, petition for more quick time events with Zoomie XD

You got 308? What a blessed run. I tried endless I ended up getting a worse score XD.
I would say this is polished for a first game, all the main menu buttons work, the sprites look good, thanks for putting A/D keys on the controls, and there's even the dragon lore there haha.

The only problem I encountered was the bgm didn't loop for me, and the armor pickup needs a buff, I felt the other powerups to be more beneficial.  Anyways, I am looking forward to see what you create in the future :)

Holy, the art alone is a 5 star. I had a nice look at the credits where it showcases all the great art! And you guys didn't even use a game engine to create this. The mix of those 3 classes were great, there's DPS and CC's to control the horde.

If you scrolled down here to see the comments, download the game, its really fun! Maybe I'm a bit biased because I love shooters.

Everything looks COOL. The Overall Feel, OnDamageTakenVFX, the terminal, the respawn camera, I jumped off a couple of times just to see that. I was itching for a boss fight in the end, but it's alright I think this game is good enough in my opinion. The credits and quit main menu buttons doesn't work for me, but eh one can always alt+f4.

I was pre-throwing the Anvils away, and most of them got spawn KO'd. The left side of the tower definitely felt the most vulnerable because of how far it was from the anvil spawner. The title bomb animation looks cool, and the sprites look great as well. Fun Game!

As a BTD6 Enjoyer this is great haha, I died at wave 10 sad

This is an amazing prototype! An onslaught at night time where visibility is limited to the light's shine arc. The gameplay is pretty similar to our mechanics of a main shooter in the middle of the screen. I just wished the enemies spawn frequent with each of them having relatively low hp. I pulled up my auto clicker just to wait and put 20 arrows to an enemy before it gets eliminated.

That princess better treat that archer real good, the guy had a ton of broken bones falling of like 40 stories up the tower, got impaled a hundreds of times, and intentionally get attacked by a bat just to teleport up to the checkpoint.  I also suggest adding coyote time on your future platformer projects, and add WASD keyboard controls as well.

Overall, it was a fun and challenging game that requires your daily dose of skill.

このゲームのアートとアニメーションが好きです!このレベルは難しいです。たぶん、100回ぐらいリスタートしました。でも、このチャレンジはとても楽しいです。お疲れ様です!

I knew this entry is going to be great the moment I saw the developer. Your last game from the previous jam, scamper; was a delight to play with, and this one did not fail to deliver either. Everything feels so smooth and the art looks cute!

When both ends of the forest lit up on fire I knew I was a goner. I got to 93. A simple yet fun game!

I believe this is a great start for a first game! It required some skill to play without the Coyote time especially on tight areas. Those friends deserved to be obliterated for standing in my way. Good game!

The truth put me into arcade mode? I was hoping some sort of closure or ending, but I guess the big enemy at the end was the main rival of Mr. Hat. The main menu looks great,  the controls are easy to get a hold of as well. It's a decent experience overall!

Pulled out my controller instead of using the keyboard controls.

If there's a Croissant, surely there's a Baguette I thought. And then the Thick Baguette ended me 💀.
The art is beautiful, especially the Eiffel tower.

Gave me an S rank, so in turn I rate this game an S rank!

Played it for quite some time, There's a lot of strategy here in picking the right upgrades for your tower. I liked the dime, 25% of dishing out huge damage. I just considered the bug to be someone sabotaging my tower, and it did ruin one run of mine. But overall, this was a fun experience!

The controls felt great! Generous coyote time, breaking through walls and the floor had a nice feel, and the music was pumpin'.

I enjoyed flying around the tower. After like 5+ Upgrades I positioned the camera at the top just to see what it would look like to view all the way to the bottom. The shaders look great mate!

I think the meteor spawns are a bit too fast for my taste. I just destroy as many meteors as I can before the inevitable. I like that you can change the color on the options, its a nice touch!

I just put all the gunslingers near the middle and I ended up coming to think of little strategy, maybe I just got lucky. The art looks cool though! I would love to get printed black and white cards of the units.

Hoho, I am a true meow saver! If you find answering aptitude tests easy, then you would enjoy this game. Great game!

Fun little game! I got the cup/trophy in the end. I just wish the player had some coyote time, but this is good!

Thank you. I'm glad you loved it!

:)

I want to become like this dev, what a pro. Surely this great of a game is going to get featured! This earned a spot at my hard drive :)

This is so good! Honestly the title alone gave you 5 stars on my book, I was like why didn't I think of that?

I got an 89, with all coins invested to the speed upgrades!

We will prepare the mines my Liege,  I then 1vs1'd all the other enemies who did not blow up to bits.

Its great to see a dev that built a game with the same idea,  although our games may not be the cream of the crop, what matters is that we improve as developers to make even better games in the future!

I built the Ark and gathered all the animals with time to spare :)
The camera movement definitely made it easier to spot any animals behind the uncut trees!

Shooting a whole stream of bullets on an enemy blob was satisfying :)

The Steering upgrade is the best upgrade hands down. I was reversing a tiny bit and a person came near to my taxi and they got the splat haha

Beautiful, every chapter had a different flavor to it,  all of them are fun!

Pretty short but I enjoyed every second of it! The pixel Art was real nice :)  The ship looks like an ejected amogus haha

What an amazing mini-game!

Fun game! I used to do this on RTS games using no units, just building generators and towers.
