How does your game fit the theme?
It has a calm beginning, leading to a horrific end
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I have written the code all by myself, and the story, characters, and the music are all by me, most of the other assets are from cc0 websites but some of them were made by me, for example the animated sprite of the main character was drawn by me while using a cc0 asset as a structure to not mess up the anatomy.
the websites which i got assets from are credited in game.

Really cool game! I will say however, I did crash a couple of times, I think I was opening and closing the inventory too fast. I reopened it and it worked well. I really like how unique this is compared to some of the other games submitted.
thank you so much for playing and rating this game!
i think thats because i didnt have time to spam proof everything...
Great job getting this all together, love the atmosphere!
I really liked how you implemented the art! However, the minigames felt a bit too long and repetitive. That said, I did enjoy how you integrated the codes into the minigames! Unfortunately, the game crashed twice for me, both times during the door code entry animation.
im so sorry!
can you tell me what exactly were you doing that caused it to crash?
I tried hard to crash the game to help you. If I use X repeatedly while interacting with a door, it always crashes during the black screen between interacting with the door and pressing number buttons. Try if you can trigger that too.
thanks!
pretty sure it was because i tried finishing the game in 7 days so i forgot to spam proof some stuff
Yeah, don’t worry! I submitted my game with a worse error.
The sound is well done. The gameplay is a bit mild, I hope it has more challenge to it. How many endings does this game have anyway? I like to know more about the story.
sadly, i didnt have time to implement more endings for it because of the 7 days time limit but i might let out some updates with more endings in the future and also for the story and lore of it...i would love you to figure it out yourself!
thanks for trying my game!
cool game👍
sadly i can not play your game, i am on a Mac here, but still i gave your game a rating based on info and screenshots :)
im so sorry...
ill try importing my games to as many platforms as i can for any other jam from now on!
and if you ever wanted to come back to this game and actually try it outside the jam, ill try uploading versions of it for other platforms as soon as i can!
thanks for your kindness!
or maybe make a webGL version?
ill try!
Cool! I just don't know how to go fullscreen though.
sorry, its actually my fault because i didnt have time to provide more resolutions for the game so i had to lock it for the resolution i made it in...
Ur good.
i really liked your game! love the atmosphere, it looks really good, also the music is a kinda fire. but i do have one complaint,
the gameplay is a bit weak.. its just the same minigame 5 times in a row and and the minigame itself gets old really quick... nevertheless the game is still really cool! i genuinely liked it
thanks for enjoying the game!
it means a lot to me!
as for the minigames, i was intending to have a better gameplay in my mind but i knew i wouldnt be able to do it in the course of 7 days without making a lot of bugs and i wanted to prevent as much bugs as i could so i tried to stick to this...
Apologies, but I got stuck in Lab 1. Black screen, and paper to click fast through to get high score (max I got was 120) (unsure if it is intended gameplay)
Was playing it on Linux through Wine, so if it is a bug, it is most likely on my end. Will not vote for now, but will keep an eye on it for updates or information.
im so sorry, its not a bug, the special items appear at a higher score for it to be a challenge rather than just story...
i will try releasing it for linux later on and maybe try implementing a difficulty system...
i dont know if i can give out updates during a jam and i dont want to risk it so if you know more about it, tell me and ill try giving updates during the jam if there isnt any problem with it!
That is good (jsut got a spook). Web build would be a best thing to be honest as it can be played immediately by more people :)
Maybe add a score requirement information, or it would ruin the feeling of suspense?
Alternatively, spawn more of them and make them fade away?
Anyway, thank you for responding to my message. I will try the game again
An Update, I found the bug:
the 60 second timer in Lab 1 is actually 25 seconds long for me. Most likely Linux shenanigan, but just a thing to note :)
oh, i see... im sorry for that...
No need to - it is not something that you could have envisioned :)
My guestimate is that the game was designed for 60fps, but emulation and my computer runs it at 144fps, which kinda fits the time difference.
do you think theres a fix for it that i could consider?
Since it is Godot and I am learning it now, I may have a proposition:
- Go to project settings
- Toggle advanced settings on the right of a pop up window
- Go to "Run"
-Set Max FPS to 60.
If it will work it will be nice.
Alternative is web release.
i see...thanks for the help!
Hey man, pretty cool game. I had one issue where I couldn't resize the game and it appeared minimized for me so maybe in the future make games that are resizable. Other than that, the artwork and music is well done.
yeah its my fault for locking it in only one resolution.
thanks for playing!
