Got some CC0 assets from Kenney and Brackeys' Platformer Bundle. Also some code from Brackeys tutorial

The platforming felt good. I didn't expect the crow to instantly kill, but it wasn't too frustrating. Thanks for making a cool game!

Developer

thanks for playing!

The platforming is really fun! The game has a nice challenge,  especially liked the atmosphere with the storm and the crow. With a few tweaks to the feedback when taking damage, it would be even better, but it’s already a great experience!

Developer

Thanks for playing and taking the time to leave a comment and rating! You're totally right, should've taken more time dedicated to the feedback, thanks!

simple but the platforming is fun! it'd be nice to add more gameplay feedback, I didnt notice I was getting damaged by the frogs at first, and didn't associate the crow with dying in the second part at first- thought it was the lightning instead (didn't read the tutorial haha oops)

Developer

Thanks for playing and I appreciate your comment. Gotta say the getting damaged feedback was one of my tasks that I failed to deliver in time, as a programmer. But the crow feedback totally passed our radar, thanks for your time!

this is a very interesting take on the theme! great job:)

one thing is that dying is very punishing in the first level.

Developer

Thanks for your time, and great feedback! The player should at least keep the talismans when they die. I'll keep an eye on game balance

Hey!

I really liked the level design of this game. Also, I'm glad that I always play the tutorials, so I was able to see your foreshadowing and was prepared to dodge the crow's "attack" right in the end, oh how I was wrong...

The start of the second part really made me panic! :D I'm quite easy to scare, so "storm" was almost catching me!
The assets fit really well together, the way you've created your own game out of a Brackeys' tutorial is really smart.

Overall, this was a nice experience. Well done!

Developer(+2)

Thanks for the well written feedback!

Gotta say I'm easy to scare too, and while playing it I feel pressured and afraid of the bird, haha

This game took me right back to the classic arcade days, with its sweet and nostalgic charm. It’s both fun and heartwarming, successfully carrying the art and spirit of the past into the future. A delightful blend of old-school aesthetics with a modern twist!

Thanks for playing! I'm happy you had fun

Great implementation of the game jam theme. Very fun to play!

Thanks for playing!

Gotta run from the bird!

Submitted(+3)

Really fun and challenging at the end there. The level design encourages you to find good paths and gives several options. Well done.

Developer

I'm happy you had fun playing it. Cool that you tried all the paths

I like it! Tight controls and good level design. More enemies at the beginning of the level could be to this game's benefit though.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Also thanks for the feedback

I really like how you arranged the level, it was really fun to play - nice job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm happy you had fun taking the different paths

Nice platformer with a well-chosen character.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! A little fun fact, Valentina is a character from an old DnD campaign some of the devs used to play

Hee-ho. Very good job. Nice game. I am impressive. Thanks for good experience

Developer

Thank YOU for playing it! Also, nice jackfrost avatar, I love persona!

Submitted(+3)

I really like how you implemented the storm the way you did, with the bird and enemies getting bigger and scarier! I think it would be nice to have an animation play when you get hit, because I didn't notice the health bar going down at the top left at first.

Developer

Thanks for taking the time and writing a feedback, it was dead on. We should have implemented a getting damaged animation plus a little of invincibility time

This is such a cool and innovative way to mix a platformer with the jam theme. Nice job! The ending spot being clearer in some way would be my only suggestion.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Great feedback, thanks for taking the time to write it
