Very Cool!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Simple concept to fit the theme! It was very easy to beat it with less than half of the talismans, except for the very punishing "restart from falling off once" mechanic. I liked how the bird had two sides to it.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I love Horus, the crow, as well

Submitted(+1)

Interesting concept, really fits well inside the theme, is a bit challenging but i really enjoyed playing it

Also can you rate our game? thx!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Very cool concept, but the fact that falling makes you insta die almost made me give up on checking the second part of the game. It also would be cool to have some SFX, like when the character gets hit. I loves how the sprites changes between phases!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I'm happy you checked the storm phase, even with the insta death draw back, thanks for the feedback

Submitted(+1)

Interesting game although it was a bit frustrating at times since you could fall off the map and had to restart.  Especially since you can't actually see if there's platform below or not.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Great feedback, next time i'll keep an eye on the camera zoom, and be less punitive on the fall damage

Nice! The gameplay was good. The bird made round 2 really quite hard, but I figured it out. I think there needed to be more action sound effects like dying, jumping, walking monsters etc.

Developer

thanks for playing! Great feedback, the game needs to be more responsive

Submitted(+1)

This was really fun! I loved the platforming challenges and the game really hit the nail on the head with the "calm before the storm" theme. I had my heartrate racing at the end.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm happy we managed to give you the tense feeling in the end. Horus, the crow, storm mode scare me as well, haha

game is so fun and great level design with some challenges to collect talismans it was fun

but idk why but the enemies arent doing any damage to me ? and when i fell off the map i had to go from first :(

Developer(+1)

Hi there, thanks for playing. In the first phase enemies don't deal damage, that's the calm part. Only in the second/storm phase they go nuts. The talismans only give you more time to play the storm phase, so you don't need to collect everything. There's a check point in the second phase. If you can give another try, don't give too much attention to the calm phase, things get interesting in the storm phase

Submitted

oh that looks interesting i will give it a try soon :D

I really liked this game tbh. The controls were on point, they felt responsive and fluid. The level design was pretty good, but one thing I'll state is that the camera could be a bit more zoomed out so that you can see that there are platforms below to land on. The visuals and audio were pretty nice as well, but more sfx would've definitely elevated the experience more. The storm mode really had me panicking a little so I'd say that part did a great job. This game really hooked me on trying to collect all of the coins.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Also nice feedback, totally forgot about the camera zoom

Really fun game! You did well! :D

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Nice job ^-^ Wasn't expecting much at first, but the frog and crows transformation was super cool, and there's some real tension when you're running from the storm. Good work :D

Developer

Thanks for playing. Even as a Dev I feel tense when Horus turn on us, hehe

It was fun, I was not expecting to get attacked, game turned a lot more fun in the storm phase, very well implemented theme, graphics are cool there are different bioms, transition of music between calm and storm is well made, and the game is fun overall, good job :D

Developer(+1)

I'm happy you had fun! The storm phase is where the fun begins, haha. Thanks for playing mate.

Cool game, very fun! I recognized Brackeys' tutorial, but I liked that you added so much stuff on your own, which made it feel like its own game. The two-phase gameplay is very fun. I would suggest adding more sound effects to make the game feel more responsive. Overall, a nice entry!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you had fun! Totally agree with you, it's lacking feedback to the player. Next time I'll make sure to keep an eye on the responsive part, thanks for you comment!

Nice game! I like that's it's simple and to the point. The level design was interesting with how there were platforms above and below. The second phase kinda creeped me out, maybe some music would've made it even more unsettling.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I took a look just to make sure, and there's music in both phases. I think since all the other submissions left the audio maxed out, some people come to this one with low volume and end up not listening the music. Next time I'll implement some audio configuration, thanks for the feedback

Cool game, the pixel art used in this game is quite cute, also I really like when they change from good to bad, and you have to run away from them, amazing! :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Our Artist made a really good job on the enemies changes, I'm proud of that, thanks for the feedback

Submitted(+2)

I really liked the art and i am big fan of simple platform games with good mechanics! I loved Horus :(  I love crows :( But i was so scared at the second part for a while! Well done tho i really had fun ☺

I also worked really hard on my pixel art game, if you have time please take a look  ♥ https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973922

Developer

Thanks for you time!

Valentina has to train her pets better, haha. We got them(valentina and horus) from a dnd table our group used to play.

Just rated your game, you have a really good one, gj man!

Submitted(+1)

I like how you were able to re-use the level by having to go back to the start and now all the friendlies are baddies. The double jump also felt really smooth. I had fun in the beginning collecting the coins and then avoiding the bird and frogs

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your time! The jumping mechanics were one of the things we dedicated a lot of time, thanks for the feedback

Submitted(+1)

Really cool platform design, i guess the crow is called storm haha. the having to go back to the top at the end got me

Developer

Thanks for playing! Its name is Horus, haha, but its part of the storm

Submitted(+1)

The platforming was satisfying, and I liked how the frogs switched from normal frogs to monster-like!

Developer

Thanks for playing! About the frogs, that's on Logan(LBundyBTW) our great artist

Submitted(+2)

My favorite part was how the froggies got all serious.  Nice submission, very in theme.

Developer

Thanks for giving us a review in turn! Glad you enjoyed the danger frogs :)
