Ranked from 54 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
You're a pilot who dives into tornadoes to retrieve cargo and materials. The calm is represented by the chill music during the time between missions when you're relaxing and upgrading your ship. The storm is the chaos of the tornado when the music ramps up, you're speeding toward the ground, everything is swirling around you and you're frantically trying to gather enough cargo to complete your objective.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
With the exception of the fonts (fontsquirrel.com), all art, music, sound effects, and code were created by me.

I love the idea, and the vibe is really really good. For some reasons it reminds me of older games I used to play when I was a kid

Good job!

Glad to hear it. I'm excited to keep working on it and start adding and updating stuff I didn't have time to finish for the jam. Thanks for the feedback!

oh man the frames lmao. was still able to kind of play it, but it was really laggy. im assuming its something about all of those objects lol. im not sure what engine you were using, but i would recommend scoping down, maybe giving godot a try and maybe doing something 2d for short jams like this. much better for html export, and i think it would allow you to focus on the actual core gameplay concepts rather than system resource optimization. thanks for entering!

Thanks for giving it a shot! Sorry it didn't perform well for you. It was created in Godot 4, and I was initially worried about performance with the tornado particles but with the exception of the person below who was using Linux, I didn't get any reports of low FPS from any of the 20ish folks I had test it this week. I'll look into it and see what I can do to optimize. Thanks again!

I can't rate it, because I'm getting about 4 frames per second. I'm on linux though/

Developer

Oh dang! I'm sorry to hear it. Unfortunately I wasn't able to test it or get any testers for Linux! Thank you for the feedback though, I'll definitely look into it as I continue development.

A little tricky to control at first but I liked the idea and the music was really catchy. Great job with this!

Developer

Thank you! I wasn't sure where I was going to go with this once I kinda doodled the idea on my whiteboard, but I'm very excited about continuing development on it.

Really cool flight game with some nice mechanics of upgrading the ship and such (which is not easy to do in such limited time btw!) - felt like I was playing freelancer a bit hahaha - nice concept!

Developer

Thank you! I'm sad the upgrades aren't fully implemented but it's next on my list after I fix a few broken things.

Really Cool!

Thank you!

Apologies for it not being Play In Browser. The browser renderer really wrecked the stormy feel of the tornado.
