No neutral jumping or ultras :( 0/10

Jokes aside fun platformer, although the jump height felt a little low.

Hey, nice work. It's feels like a finished game. Loved the music, sound fx and the dash animation is cool af. It's very hard from the second room, and probably it's not that bad for people who are good in the Celeste.

Submitted

Nice music, simple art style but fun to look at, the control are smooth. The camera at level 1 where it switch consecutively is a little annoying. Everything else is goo, nice work <3

I couldn't get past one level where there are two blocks and spikes under them. It might be just a skill issue for me D:

The game feels a bit weird with the controls in terms of the speed of the character but I love the dash mechanic. I also love the sound it makes when you dash, it reminds me of the two toy magnets that make noise where you throw them together. I wish I didn't have skill issues to finish the game lol.

I made a walk through in the description

I think I know the location you are talking about. Yeah, that part was even difficult for me, and I changed it for the post jam-version. I will upload that version once the jam is over.

Good music and level design..

Would have loved if the wall climbing was a bit easier and the camera was stable as it drove me crazy :(

The dash has a very cool effect and liked the way it worked.

Kudos!! :D

Developer(+1)

what do you mean by the camera being stable? I hope you didn't play on Firefox, because that messes up all the scaling on the game.

Is it just when you go to a higher room and fall back down how it instantly cuts?

Submitted

The camera position changes when you move from one room to other right... Regarding that aspect.

The camera shifts to the next position.

Developer(+1)

OK. That is only a problem on Firefox. The aspect ratio is not meant to change, but on Firefox it pops out into a different window.

Developer(+1)

thanks for showing the problem. I need a permanent way to fix that, because it was a problem in the previous jam as well.

Developer(+1)

For future reference: in Godot ProjectSettings/Window/Stretch/Mode = viewport should fix it.

Nice platformer, but too hard for me, I did not go far enough to see the potential of the game.
I found the lateral movement a bit to stiff.
When you change screen, the place where you land must be predictable. (the wall jump on upper screen is not for instance)
Great work.

5:03:91    Felt like the movement was a little stiff but the dash definitely felt good to control. Ending sequence was really cool too. Super jump felt kind of unintuitive though. The wave dashing inputs leading to vertical height took some getting used to lol. Also having to platform to the next screen without being able to see it wasn't great. Overall pretty good platformer though I did enjoy it quite a bit. Great job!

Developer

Impressive time! I should have made the vertical room a little easier, especially when introducing a new mechanic.

Interesting game I love the simplicity and level design, The movement and jump feels smooth, Jump between movement require me to use both hand, kinda confuse when only using one hand lol

Submitted

Movement and jumping were really smooth. Wall jump was too hard for me. Music was good. Well done overall!

Submitted

very hard. great ideas, especially dash bouncing off the floor. With slightly better execution, could've felt really good

nice submission

Interesting game idea, solid advanced platformer controls, it is great. good job

Submitted

Quite hard and enjoyable

Submitted

I really felt like i was playing celeste, pretty hard. My hands were swaety haha

Submitted

Nice Celeste-like. The difficulty curve is preeetty steep, but the controls felt good.

Submitted

Almost there keep up the good work i think with little tweaks it should be a really enjoyable game

Submitted

very nice game. But the wall jump was hard and normal jump felt wired!!
U have done a Great work on your first jam Keep going!!

Submitted

Really fun game. Enjoyed it. Although the wall jump felt a little weird and seemed like I need to hold directional button into the wall otherwise it would not register as wall grab and would not jump which in walljump sequences meant having to quickly alter between A and D which felt a little annoying but otherwise loved the game. Also my time is 8:49:73. Nowhere near the author but let's see who can beat my time on blind playthrough (~ ̄▽ ̄)~

Hee-ho. Nice game. I physically feel pain. Cool, cool. Thanks for nice experience

The wall jump was a bit stiff, but otherwise a well executed game and concept. Very reminiscent of Celeste, VVVVV, and the retro Super Meat Boy levels.

Submitted

Wall jumping felt a bit off but had some good fun and laughs playing it :)
