Nice! Cool puzzle, one of the games I fully completed.
2 things about graphics:
1) Text is kind of hard to read sometimes, due to its pixelization
2) When you start a level, it's hard to spot the hero, he doesn't stand out from bg
Well done for a first game jam! The puzzle design is actually good, the answer was never the most intuitive one, but finding the correct solution wasn't that difficult either.
Graphics could use a bit more work:
The flag and the player character don't stand out from the background. Using more contrasting colors would probably help.
The enemies stand out better from the backgrounds, but look too similar to each other. It'd be better to make them distinct from one another. Color would probably help there, too. In particular, the rotating enemies could look different from each other so you don't have to wonder which direction each one turns to.
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback :)
Visual clarity is something that has been mentioned a lot when people are critiquing my game and I completely agree. I was trying to mostly stick to the same four colours because I think it looks nice, but you're right that it's hard to balance that with readability. Maybe since enemies are red, and buttons are blue, I could have used more different colours to highlight the player and flag?
I also agree that it's hard to tell the enemies apart. I really struggled to work out what the enemies should even be, so I picked boring shadowy things, but given more time I would have been more creative, which would have also made them more visually distinct from one another.
I would also have liked to use vision cones to more clearly indicate where enemies are facing now, and where they will face next.
Your game is so creative! You presented the mechanic of managing two things at once in a very interesting way. The two screens reminded me of the Nintendo DS. The graphics are also very minimalist and cool.
I really enjoyed the gradually harder levels. Really well done and the graphics are pretty neat as well over all really good the only thing missing is background music as well as soundeffects.
Really good game, I liked the puzzles and enjoyed playing it. Got a good rating from me,
(Please rate mine too.:)

Great little puzzle game, quite challenging sometimes and the digging mechanic is interesting! Great work!
Awesome puzzle game, really well-designed! Only thing missing is some audio. I hope more people play your game because it deserves more ratings. Well done!
Great! It was challenging and really enjoyable, mechanics are very interesting. Definitely, the game deserves more ratings. Good luck :)
Cool puzzle game! I really like the twist; that digging holes prevents you from moving back to that tile. Made for some interesting puzzles, but I think you could have taken it a lot further. I found it really difficult to determine the orientation of enemies and which way they were about to look. I know that there were subtle indications for both of these, but I'd recommend making them more obvious. If you insist on sticking with the 8x8 art (which is very nice) then you could show a vision cone, or highlight the tiles in their view? Overall very fun, would be interesting to see what you could do with a few more levels!
Thanks for the feedback! I would also like to make some more levels - I was planning to have more but I ran out of time during the jam. Vision cones are a very good idea, and maybe I could have a vision cone for their current vision and then a flashing one for where they're going to be looking next. Thanks again, that was very helpful :)
Very beautiful pixel art, and simple but really challenging game! I enjoyed!
