Very cool concept. Took me back to my chemistry days studying valence electrons. Didn’t take me back well enough to remember which element this ball makes.
Had a lot of fun playing this. From time to time the ball didn’t go in the direction I told it do, but it didn’t happen a lot so it wasn’t enough to ruin the fun.
Props on the great idea.
Here’s my game if you haven’t checked it out! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-3/rate/572795
Oh very cool design idea! It was fun slingshotting the electrons around. I really like the slow-mo too. The graphics are simple and clear so easy to see what's going on. Sounds and music are electric~ Keep it up~ Great job submitting a game to the jam! Please check out mine when you have time :)
I really liked those electricty effects, and the concept is very interesting, I didn't totally understand what to do though despite the tutorial, I knocked an electron out of the circle thing and then shot an electron to the middle and it replaced the electron that fell out, then I could control the one that fell out and tried to do the same, but it seems I have to hit it hard enough for it to drop, also the dragging mechanics were sometimes weird because I would try to drag and aim while my electron is moving pretty fast, so the initial point where I click has already moved to the left or right of the camera, which makes it difficult to aim because then I am only aiming in one direction and can't aim in the other direction, I think that can be fixed if you make the initial click point be an on screen point instead of an in world point, all in all though great game and great job making it!
Man that's a detail explanation 😁, thank you so much, actually i also experienced the aiming issue but listed it out as a bug and moved cuz i wanted to focus on other things, i realized that i am using world point after the jam😂 and i was like fu**, i could have fixed it in seconds. And regarding to plot of game, the thing is you have to knock the electron so it becomes and you know free electrons contribute to electricity so you have to grab those free electrons and send them through exit😁, hope you get it, it's bit of a scientific concept
Hey man, I LOVED YOUR THEME. Holes in the Diode.... a great way to use a physics concept in your game and I reallye njoyed how you used the repusion forces, The only thing is that it is a little hard to know how fast you need to go to remove the electron. Maybe if you put something like an ""eV velocimeter"" it would be better.
good game
i love the effects you used like lights and particles and the way the camera mouve
the glowing effect is awsome
great job
i enjoyed
Cool
But I have a suggestion, slow motion the game when you pass the tutorial.
I like your music by the way!
Great work on making such a unique concept into a game in just 7 days.
Great game! Love the music and visuals especially, and the physics of slinging the electron are fun! Good work :)
Interesting concept, though in the first level I sort of managed to miss all the texts as I slingshot myself to the left with such a force that all the texts just flashed before my eyes.
