I like the attempt, but I found this very slow, confusing, and boring. A lot of this just felt like sitting there and not doing much. The ideas aren't explained very well, so I felt stuck as to what I should be doing. The lack of any audio doesn't help either.

Interesting game about ant colony management, kinda like AntSim?
Audio would be nice, dead silence never helps with game experience.
Also some controls or UI feedback would help (I didn't even know I could move the camera until I was close to the end of the game)
But this is very good effort for a 1 week Jam game, programming these must be quite challenging. (Multi-agent systems are my favorite!)
All in all, good work on your first game, hope you good luck on future expansion of this game.
Game is complicated in the beginning. I like its like running your own ant empire in a garden. You could add some sounds.
What I would love for the game is (game have lot of potential)
- Sounds
- Variety of ants (Visual differences)
-Variety of resources
-Some initial tutorials
Nice job on the game for the Jam.
fun little game! with a little bit of work this game can turn out being a hit!
Really nice one. Was complicated without reading the tutorial :D
Rated! please rate us back :)
the game seemed rather complicated at first, but was nicely running and pretty fun to play. Would need some audio to the mix.
Nice game with lovely art work. I think if there was a nice game music it would make your game much more interesting than itis. You did a good job there.
Rare simulation game concept. It would be interesting to see further development.
Looks very complicated, and it works, but I don't think many people will have patience for this type of simulator ish game, but great job on the concept.
The ones that comes to mind:
- Queuing on plants. During the late game my dogs were dumb and would wonder around. For my game I didn't want the player to control the prairie dogs at all but if I could have made certain holes higher priority so that the player could make them move towards food sources that would have been good.
- Having them consume food over time is a good idea.
I had plans on setting up certain prairie dog watch outs which would call out when predators came close but yeah... ran out of time.
Although its unique in its own right this totally reminds me of a project I was working on a while back that I never finished. I like the idea.
Really cool design with the ant colony controls. it was fun watching them go and do their work. Keep working on it and add some more feedback/polish/game juice/sound. The UI and sprites were cool too. Great job submitting a game to the jam! Please check out mine when you have time :)
Happy to! Let me know if you add anything to the game. I love a good RTS. Here’s mine if you want to check it out. https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-3/rate/572795?after=18#comments
