In what way does your game fit the theme?
The gameplay revolves spawning platforming objects by reaching the right corner of the screen. As these can be corrupted or obtrusive, the player has to *rewind* them back by reaching the left corner. The story is also heavily influenced by the concept of rewinding (the main character browses through memories and the last levels are a mirrored version of the first levels)
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Though the code for this game is very simple, I wrote it entirely myself. The assets are all from my jam partner and myself, with the exception of the font, which is a free-to-use font whose use has been validated by its creator.

This is a sweet and sad story driven game. I really like how the gameplay reinforces the story elements and brings together a cohesive experience. The art and music are also beautiful and really made me want me to keep playing. Great submission!
Thanks a bunch!! Really happy you enjoyed it so much!
Thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed it. ^_^
Really beautiful game. I loved the music and how it was being layered. Great job!
Thank you so much! ^_^
Thanks a bunch, I'm glad you liked it!!
Sweet story and very sad. Gameplay is a liiiiiittle tricky, but not horribly so.
There's definitely a *lot* of room for improvement haha - glad you enjoyed the story and thanks for commenting!
A nice little story! the player deceleration is a little too much. maybe you could adjust a little :)
Thank you for your feedback and kind words! I'll definitely keep that in mind!
I found the gameplay to be innovative.
The actions happen off the screen, it was a good idea.
Cool music too.
A beautiful bittersweet story. :) Platforming and mechanics were a bit tricky, but I overall enjoyed it.
Man, I really love this. The story was beautiful, as was the art style. I'm a sucker for narrative games, this is why I started with the story while creating my game.
I think the only problem I had was that you can't understand what was a platform and what was not. You could have made the platforms a different color so you can actually see them, but still be integrated into the background.
Also you could add elements that would block your path and you need to go backward to despawn them temporally so you can go further. But it could affect the narrative so I kinda understand why you wouldn't want that.
Thank you for your feedback, I'm really glad you like this game! Many people seemed bothered by the obscure platforming, so I'm definitely taking notes for my next project haha
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Ran a bit short on time to troubleshoot the platform visibility. ^_^
awesome game! i wish the last was more wholesome!
but nonetheless a good game! rated! rate ours?

Hey! This was a great design and a powerful story! The only thing I was disappointed in was that last level, I thought the player was going to actually be the face of the person in the bed. That would've honestly made the game feel so wholesome!
B-but the player character *is* the one in the bed
(Thank you so much for your time and kind words <3)
I know, but when I got to that level, I just thought the players character looked like it fit like a puzzle piece lol
Oh I see what you mean haha
Artist here! \o/ This game was a ton of fun to work on. Leaf did a fantastic job with the writing, music and design, and the concept is super cool. It's very moving. I hope you all enjoy it!
At first I didnt know what to do exactly, after reading some comments here though, I knew what to do! Interesting concept and nice execution, although sometimes the corruption felt a bit too much, and took me out of the story a bit. I like your pixelart style though, maybe add some animations to the player though, or an indicator where to jump.
Overall really nice game!
Thanks a bunch! I'll let the artist know the work was appreciated! Actually animations *were* planned but I ran short on time to implement them, and having never done that properly before, I preferred to spend the remaining time polishing instead of potentially breaking something haha
Thank you very much! ^_^ I'm glad you enjoyed my art.
GREAT ATMOSPHERE!
THANK YOU!
i liked the idea , it was fun to see the scene build up slowly as the story goes on , only thing is the colliders are not obvious where you can stand and not sometimes it blends with the background . good game
Thanks for your input! I definitely need to learn how to make better and more apparent collisions haha
i dont understand what i have to do, but nice art and song. Cheers!
Sorry about that! In case other people find the game hard to understand, you're supposed to walk past the right screen to spawn platforms to reach the window. When corrupted platforms spawn, you can rewind them by doing the same for the left screen.
Thank you for your kind words though <3
Thank you!
I would perhaps make the platforms you can stand on a different colour to better indicate that you can. Especially in a game jam where the average attention span is short, it'd turn less people away with a little more clarity. Walking backwards and forwards became a bit tedious as well - maybe the character speed could have been heightened? Otherwise good job.
Thanks for your feedback! I'm still very new to designing platforming mechanics so there's definitely room for improvement haha, I'll take notes on comments like yours!
Unfortunately I can't rate it, but I really liked it. The concept is really good, the narrative is really good, the art is really good, the soundtrack is really good, its just overall really good.
Thanks a bunch! Your ratings were the ones that mattered <3
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
This game was excellent and I adore it.
Thank you <3
