This game is great, the rearrange timeline is definitely a clever idea. Other than the controls, one thing to consider might be adding tutorial. Overall this game is really fun to play and I really enjoyed it.
I'm a little bit confused. I didn't understand the crystal selecting at the beginning. I also didn't realize I had to control that one thing, spaceship? because it was already moving and shooting. After awhile I figured that part out. Needs to be more challenging. Also, I spent trying pressing buttons trying to figure out how to deploy a mine. Once I found and hit and it bounced, then the game became more fun. So kind of like a break out style way to destroy the enemy. Then it made more sense why the ship looked the way it did. I think you should have a tutorial up-front to explain those mechanics.
The game really shines in how the idea is executed, but the controls weren’t as good, they were a little weird and took sometime to get used to. Objectives and things you have to keep a look out for need to be slightly more distinguishable. Great game overall :D Hope you try mine too https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/722968
There's some neat ideas here, but I am not sure if my understanding of how things worked was correct? Am I selecting 4 crystals at start and this is loading a distinct timeline? and then I am supposed to die at the end of that timeline and load a new timeline by selecting the crystals in a different order?
I think this is a really neat idea! i also liked how the ship itself became an object for interacting with the world, but if possible it might make sense to make the above more clear (especially if my interpretation was incorrect!)
the gameplay and controls are so good.
since it is unique. a detailed tutorial or how to play guide would be great.
would like to have you play my game. and please rate mine too
I think you had a good idea and a good concept about your game, but I had to say that I was really confused while playing. The point that I can choose what order I want to start things is very cool, but it take me some time to understand that. During the game, the type of movements is interesting, and the '?' signs to show where to go was a really good idea. But I didn't get what I had to do at all. Every time I complete the mission, shows me the Game Over screen. The graphics are a bit off and it took some time to see the ship form, but they were there. You used the theme in a different form and I really appreciate that. You are in a right way, continue with your effort and ideas!
Thank you so much for the feedback it will really help me improve with the next build. I really do need to make everything a bit clearer.
The concept is cool, but the story can be a bit confusing. I'm not sure if I knew what I was doing. Also, the controls feel really weird and sensitive, but that might just be me.
Interesting game though!
Yeah, the controls are definitely top priority for the next build - thanks for playing!
Nice game and nice concept.
Nice game and nice concept.
It was a bit difficult, but still fun playing your game! I like the unique style and concept. If you like this idea, keep working on it! Awesome job submitting an interesting game to this jam and I hope you improved your game making skills. If you have time, please check out my game :D
I really like the idea, but to be honest I'm not sure I totally understood the game. After playing for about ten minutes I was only able to get one life crystal (and I was just trying random orders), and I think part of the frustration is that there's no indication (that I saw) of which number corresponds with which event. For example, once I had the mission where I have to kick the key into the treasure chest. Another time I had to collect "data files". I really like the variety in gameplay, but having these one-time missions makes it really confusing when I'm supposed to be doing the same events just in different orders. Coupled with the awkward controls (which I sort of got used to after a while), this game was just kind of difficult for me. :(
I totally don't want you to think I hate the game though! This is a really cool and unique way to implement the theme, and I definitely think that with a bit more polish this game could go far. Also, I could just be dumb since it seems like everyone else understood it haha. Anyway, great entry :)
Yeah, I am working on getting the controls a bit more friendly with the next release and eventually (hopefully) I will get the randomized nature of the game to be a bit more meaningful - Thanks for the feedback!
Honestly, super innovative, I don't think I've ever played anything like it!
The controls and method of killing and manipulating the environment were a bit awkward to me but I got used to it and that is partly what makes it so interesting, because I have never really played anything like that :)
Great job overall, good design, good little story and i felt like I had purpose playing it :)

Loved the graphics and different style of play. The audio was epic as well.
Please rate my game as well : https://bluemerlegames.itch.io/orbi
Really fun game with a really interesting premise.
I also like how it's random (well if I push them randomly), and you did this all in a week which is super cool!
Great Job! <3
Interesting premise, most of the missions were fun except for the mine game (pushing mines to the base is difficult).
Dying and failing randomly after each mission is not very fun though, a little frustrating.
completely agree with that review :)
Thanks for playing, I am working on making the mission order sequences a bit more meaningful. Would making the mines bigger help at all?
