In what way does your game fit the theme?
Our game has a rewinder that can turn infected people back to normal!

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Most code was made by our lovely team and all the art was made straight from the bottom up!

Really liked the graphics and music. There was one guy/zombie that kept screaming the same sound every 3-5 seconds which was pretty funny.  Definitely a cool idea and well executed. Great work!

Thank you!

I really liked this game!  The aesthetic is very unique, and the gameplay is very nice.  However there are a few points that I'd like to make:

- The player isn't strong enough to fight the zombies and there's really no reason to try.  What I mean is that the player needs to hit a zombie quite a number of times in order to kill it, but there is no reward for it, so it's better to run away, avoid combat at all costs and rewind at the truck occasionally.  I think having a reward for killing zombies and increasing the player damage would fix this.

- There should be more feedback when zombies are attacking you, such as a sound or an effect, as it's kind of weird having what is basically your health go down just by standing next to an enemy with no other indicator.

- Humans and zombies have the same sound? I think zombies should have a groan or something lol.

- The truck should have health as it would make you want to fight off the zombies.  I think it should decrease in health each time it rewinds the player or enemy.

I don't really know what genre is this, so I can't easily compare it with other games, but on its own, I think it's pretty good!

Thank you! Most of the points you stated were just problems because of a lack of time, but some were just problems I couldn't figure out through script.

So i download the game it has a great look! like the sound... reminds me of plant vs zombie art style... The art is really nice. But from what i see... Sorry for being so hard... the game needs very necessary polish. examples: the menu options, it didnt detect my click on the options and i click like ten times. highlighting the option when hovering over the option, would be very helpful, it will let you know what is actually an option and if you are actually on the option and not clicking air, i spend sometime in the menu figuring out, i though if you click on story it would take me to story mode nothing. the level selection was what work after many clicks. also the pause button doesnt work after a while has you play the first the level and it didnt work on the second and third level either XD the aiming could uses some work, unless it is done on purpose. overall it has the feel of a bigger game. also the levels are too slow (pacing of the game). sorry if i am being too harsh! if you still have time and you can check out my game, it would be cool.

Developer(+1)

You aren't harsh at all. During the final hours of the jam, I was trying to get buttons to appear more lively, but I couldn't make it in time. The buttons worked fine for me when we tested after submission, but that might be a problem lying around. The aiming is hard to 'fix' since everything is as slim as paper, so I guess its a feature? haha. As said before, the levels are meant to be able to hoard zombies for a long time and you having to escape them, but I get how many people would prefer faster gameplay. Thank you for your review!

Love the main menu and the art style of the game. The 2.5d graphics really fits the game.

Though I think there are some performance issues in certain section, I am sure it can be easily fixed.

Anyway, Great Job!

Developer

Thank you so much!

I really like the artstyle. The music fits too :)

But I think that you could maybe improve the gameplay a bit. It feels a bit slow, especially because every level takes so long to complete.

But overall it's a really good entry ^^

Developer(+1)

Thank you! It should be a little faster, and I realized that too late. Although the time limit was built to have many zombies spawn during that time. Thanks for rating!

funny  game, i finished it :-), i liked the  focus on the graphics. i appreciated the minimap in the left corner, did not use the rewind mechanic tho

Developer

Thank you for playing! The rewinder is supposed to be a strategic point in the game, but I see what you did there ;) Thank you again

Art is nice, gameplay is flowy. It would be more fun if shooting was costing less energy to allow us kill more zombies, but as far as that's like a survival, it may fit the theme. Cool game!

Developer

Thank you so much! I’ll keep that in mind

I so like the art style of your game! The main menu looks awesome as well as the font you used. I like it. Good job :)

I really liked this game, and loved the artstyle although in the third level no zombies spawned all I had to do is catch some people and throw them at the car (btw the "zombie meters" were increasing suuuper fast if two people just stood near each other.

But I think that it's a nice concept, worth updating in post-jam patches

Developer

Thank you for playing! Also, the zombie meters were programmed to spread faster when more people entered into a group with each other, making the grabbing system useful to spread NPCs out.

I really like the graphics and the very jazzy music, but I was going deaf with the screaming

Developer

Thank you! Sorry about that, It can get frantic sometimes.. ;)

I made the music for the game, and I really appreciate your compliment!

Hey,

I thought the visuals were really neat, I especially liked the menu system at the beginning as I think it worked really well. My biggest critique is that nothing I did really felt that meaningful other than running away, as I felt the horde grew too big too quickly and reverting them back at the car became impossible. I really liked your take on the theme and the soundtrack was really satisfying. I had a lot of fun, great job :)

Developer(+1)

thank you! The horde is meant to get big and eventually unmanageable, and the only way to prevent it is through defeating them at the beginning of the level. Although I do admit when they get big it is almost impossible to revert them since their group sickness turns them into a zombie almost immediately. Thanks for playing!

I really enjoyed the art of the soundtrack, good job!

Decca, Saw you your DM. Here is my review. I think this was awesome. Loved the visuals and audio. The blur effect on motion was a great touch. Can't find much to criticize. Great job!
