In what way does your game fit the theme?
While a song is playing and you have to collect notes on a cassette you have the power to rewind the song, so you won't fall off the tape.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I created the source code and the assets expect of the music.
Music credits are added in the description as well in the game.

The music is good, and the idea is great. The controls felt a little clunky though. Also, I’d love to be able to listen to something when rewinding. Aside from that, the game was simple, but good. I liked it! Congrats on your submission
Nice concept and interesting way to fit the gameplay into the jams theme.
Graphics are simple but cool and the music is quite good. On the gameplay side I think im not a fan of how the character controls and feels a bit floaty overall but that can be tweaked.
Good job
Great job using the theme. I thought it was very unique. Took me a second to get the controls but once I realized, it was kind of fun. I like the creativity you put into this. I think there could have been more audio cues, like jumping or when a note landed. Maybe as you change level the cassette tape changes color and the background changes too, to mix it up. Nice job.
Hi Mastro2k, thank you for your thoughts and feedback about this game! I totally agree with the audio. Just a couple of sounds can have such a big impact on the feeling of a game. I like your ideas. Switching the background is a cool thing. If I bring that idea further, then you could also create a lighting show (like in the disco) for each level that would be in harmony with the song. Thank you for your time and good luck with your game!
I’m sorry but I didn’t really like this game all that much, the controls were a bit confusing and I didn’t really understand how to play it, every time I tried I just felt like I was delaying my inevitable death, the thing it has going for it is the graphics, music and innovation. I feel like it’s pretty unique and one that stands out against most other games because of the gameplay, I just wish the execution was better

Hi, thank you for your honest comment and for making your vote public! You are only honest, so there is nothing you have to be sorry about! There is one mechanic in the game (I added as Hint in the comments on my page) which would give you much more control over your player. But I failed very hard in transmitting and teaching the player how he can use this mechanic. But even with the long jump mechanic, I would agree that there would be still something missing that would make the game more fun. But nevertheless, I wish you good luck with your game!
This game has a really cool concept and was really interesting. It has really nice art and the music you chose matches the game well. The only issue I had was that the mouse controls were a bit finicky and that the game ends when the music note is on the end of the cassette. Since it's still on the cassette it should keep playing but when it falls it should end. Just something I noticed. Other than that I thought the game looked clean and was a good play.
The idea is pretty cool! The mouse controls were a bit confusing, adding keyboard controls could be a nice thing. Controlling the immovable speaker on the tape is challenging but it also feels very limiting for long term fun. Something where you could also move up and down could be nice to add more variety.
Looks really nice, I'd maybe use a bigger play area, so with smaller speakers and notes so that it's not too claustrophobic, and maybe go for a different camera angle and keyboards controls instead of mouse, but the idea is nice, good work. Check out my game too if you get a chance.
