In what way does your game fit the theme?
A mysterious and mute protagonist journeys across different dimensions existing in past, present and future, observing the complexities of what once was. With the aid of peculiar time-reversing abilities, traverse three temporally-trapped zones while platforming through space and preventing time from collapsing on itself.
While jumping, time rewinds around you. Raindrops float upwards and moving platforms return to their start. Keep the timeline stable by ensuring time never moves too far forward or backwards.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. We built it off of Monogame, Visual Studio, and the Ogmo tile editor. All assets were made from scratch, including all art and music, with the exception of sound effects which were adapted from royalty-free sounds found on Zapsplat. FMOD and Monogame integration was based on https://github.com/Martenfur/ChaiFoxes.FMODAudio

I'll admit at first, I was a little bugged I had to install the .Net core thing to play Faux, but I'm really glad I did! What a wonderful, lovely game!
(P.S. : for some reason, Itch.io really wants to feature Rick's Flix as my submitted game, but was just a collaborator in this one, all I did was the music and SFX! ...I mean, I'm proud of it and everyone should play it but this is the actual submission I made : https://lefleat.itch.io/forward)
Yea sorry, we should have included the .net download in the description. Thanks for playing and enjoying our game though!
Wow! What a great game, loved the atmosphere and the art style. Congratulations on the jam! rated
Thanks for the feedback!
Wow, i just can't stress enough how much I enjoyed this game! Let me start with what I found to be the most brilliant mechanic of this game: the time-travel, specifically how it's linked to the character's jumping abilities. I absolutely love how such a basic moveset is recontextualized by the rewind mechanic and how much depth it adds to the game. Suddenly, jumping is not only a means to move upwards but it's also a resource, the player has to be attentive and strategize where and when to jump in order to keep the airtime relatively low so the "time-bar" doesn't go all the way to the left. Suddenly, wall sliding is not only useful to slow-down your descent or to wall jump, but in this game it's also a way to stop the "jumping state" of the character and stop the rewinding of time. I also really like how the time mechanic can influence other moving obstacles, such as platforms of hazards. I might be biased because I really like challenging platformers with interesting mechanics (Celeste is one of my favorite games of all time), but I found the level design to be phenomenal, especially the more challenging levels towards the end of the game, complemented by the amazing music. I really like the rain effect and the way it's used as a visual indicator that time is moving forward/backwards, and I love how it gets faster as it approaches the end of the "time-bar" (timeline?), which yet again serves as a visual indicator but at the same time it makes the platforming in the later levels that much more intense. It feels great to see the rain get faster and faster, yet somehow still living afterwards and seeing the rain speed go back to normal. Other than a few minor bugs/issues, this is probably my favorite game I've played of this jam, I'd definitely like to play an even more polished, full version of this. Great job!
Wow! Thanks for all the feedback and thoughtful review! We appreciate you taking the time to play our game! We are definitely considering continuing work on this game to make it a complete product and we will keep the itch page updated.
What a great achievement for just one week! Even though I don't like platformers, I must say that this a really cool idea for a game mechanic. I liked the graphics and the audio was really good! I believe this idea has a lot of potential. Keep up the good work
Thanks for your review! We basically spent the whole first day of the jam thinking of how to make a creative take on "rewind" and it really paid off.
I just loved the game! Everything 10/10 and full score! Just remember that I was here before this game became popular on Steam ;)
I loved the thought you put into this as well as the art style, very pleasing and fun overall!
Thanks for the comment! The art style and the soundtrack are off the hook for sure.
This is class 11/10 would play again
Good game!
Thanks!
This is awesome! The first couple of levels had a Celeste vibe, the music and the sprites were all great and dream-like. Amazing game overall, it deserves all of the praise that’s being given. Hope you end up developing it further after the review process is off. This could easily be a great hit
Thanks! Yea we definitely were inspired by Celeste. I'm glad you enjoyed it! We think we are going to continue developing it in the future for sure.
definitely one of the best, and probably my favorite so far. the time mechanic is cool and well implemented in the level design. the art is gorgeous, the best pixel art i've seen yet. and the music fit it so well. good job! it feel like a proper payed game.
I died one time and the game decide to freeze and i had to start from the start so maybe try to fix that.
so overall this game is fantastic!
Thank you so much for your review, we really appreciate it! Where did you die? There is a known bug where the game is softlocked if you die at the final Cottonwood screen but you might have run into this bug elsewhere.
this game is amazing best game I’ve ever played on this website
Really cool game! It was fun!
Thanks! We are glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome game! Probably one of the most innovative games! And i loove multi purpose mechanics so putting rewinding on the jump was a great choise! I also love how the rain changes direction! Great job!
Thanks, we appreciate the feedback!
Genuinely really great game. Above everything I love the simplicity of the game design. It has infinite potential for depth yet can be understood in seconds
the game is very fun.
For some reason it's asking me to install .NET even after I install it so I can't play :(
That is on your end not ours. Make sure you are downloading the correct version of the .net framework.
Make sure you download ASP.NET Core Runtime 3.1.6. Here's the link https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-core/thank-you/runtime-aspnetcore-3.1.6-windows-hosting-bundle-installer
Great, it worked after downloading 3.1.6. I'm glad I gave it another shot. The game is super polished. The audio, graphics are top notch. The game play is interesting and engaging. I really like the twist when the time bar became much shorter limiting the amount of jumps allowed. Great work guys.
Wooooow, just woow
Yooo no way! I was watching your stream a couple days ago while you were working on your game! Your game is also pretty good, thanks for checking out ours!
Woooow the world its to small

Hey everyone thanks for testing and playing our game. For the second and third area we wanted to include them to do justice to the artist and composer for our game, so they are not finished yet. If you are rating, please try to rate the game based on the first area, Limbo, for gameplay.
Y'all can check out the soundtrack too on Soundcloud and Bandcamp- links are on the game page here.
Absolutely incredible. The art is gorgeous. The music is top notch. The gameplay is super tight. 10/10
