In what way does your game fit the theme?
In HexIsles the hexagons can get to places together, they couldn't reach alone (e. g. by stacking or combining different abilities). They also shield each other from loneliness, which would cause them to petrify.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
No, I used a free LowPoly Water Asset by Ebru Dogan from the Unity Asset Store and the font Josefin Sans from Google Fonts.

Very nice game, the difficulty curve is great, there is still a challenge once you understand how things work. You did a good job with this little puzzle game !

Developer

Wow, I thought my difficulty curve was kinda random, but I'm glad u liked it!

Wow you did a great job with this. You managed to make a really fun and polished feeling game, with challenging and novel puzzle mechanics that perfectly fit the theme. Lots of levels too! Hexagons are the bestagons.

Developer

Hexagons ARE the Bestagons! tysm!

I really enjoyed the game and it fits the theme perfectly! I tiny minor thing: I confused a sign with a flag at 2nd level haha, because of the camera perspective.

Anyway, good luck!

Developer

Thank you for playing!
I made it so that the camera moves through all levels, so I can't really control which direction it's facing on level change.

This game is fantastic! I love the art style of the game, the water looks very nice. The puzzles themselves are challenging yet fun. Really cool concept as well! Great job!

Developer

Thank u! I didn't make the water myself though.

Looks really nice, but I couldn’t figure out what to do on the 3rd level :( Great job anyway, feels like a great game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback!
You have to get at least one of them to the flag while keeping them together (you can also stack them and move the bottom one, then they move together), ALT + Q unlocks all levels, in case you want to try again.

Ah, think I got it, thanks, gonna give the game another try!

Yep, figured out the mechanics, agree that the tutorial signs could be a little more informative. The game itself is lovely, very nice graphics & idea. Great job!

Developer

thank you!

Nice hexagon world, although it’s not very clear at the beginning. The puzzle part with playing in a group is really interesting.

Thank you!

Overall, really great. Fantastic puzzle game. The sign-tutorials are a little bit confusing though.

Developer

Thank u! Wanted to make the tutorials a bit more immersive, but i can see how it is confusing.

Wow such a relaxing and fun game. I love the puzzles. Also I like the idea that the island are dead hexagons lol. It is super cool. The 3D models graphics and the audio is great and satisfying I played 5 levels and I enjoyed them a lot! Good job!

Developer

Thank you!

Very cool game! Nicely presented. Feels solid and well made. I got to level 5 or 6 before I couldn't figure it out lol. Nicely done.

Developer (1 edit)

TY! I should probably change the order of the levels in the post-jam version, because there are some easier ones later.

It looks great and feels polished. Allthough the concept is not really unique it's well executed

Developer

Thank You!

Great little game. Really well polished! I don't have a huge amount of time for playing and rating, so I didn't get too far - but I was incredibly impressed with what I saw. Also, great choice of font 😉

I don't really have much to complain about here, though the camera pan keybinding is a pain on macs, but that's just because there are no mouse buttons 😅 did get a little crampy in the end.

That's really only a minor issue though, it seriously is a great little game - congrats!

Developer(+2)

Thank you!
I started making games when I was twelve (three years ago) and this is by far my best game yet. I'm really happy about it
About the camera: I plan to make it possible to control with only the keyboard after the jam and I would like to make a mobile version too.

This is the best game I´ve seen so far, how many hours have you put into it??

It is AMAZING, it is so smooth, every fits in together perfectly, I think this might be one of the winners...

Developer

TYSM! I'm glad you like it! I spent a lot of time on this and I'm very proud of the result.
