A really solid shmup! Cooldowns on the abilities feel a little too long and some enemy variety would really help replayability. But overall it's a good time! Not sure if this was actually the case but does shooting the enemies with the same color kill them faster? If so that's a fun way to incentivize rotating!

I like that you can lose the ships.
A lot of well thought design in this game, though not too well communicated to the player it is there. In the health bar etc. which was nice to see. It's an interesting concept though there wasn't too much to mix up the gameplay throughout since it was just endlessly spawning enemies. Some sort of power up could help. The ability to get ships back as well. Along with maybe tweaking the difficulty to allow for some tweaking on the abilities and such.
Cause currently the abilities cooldown feels extremely long. Which lead to me generally only be able to use them once per run, which essentially removed them from the game for a mass amount of the loop. So tweaking difficulty to be easier/harder or maybe making the abilities cooldown shorter or make them stronger etc. could balance it out.
Really cool game, gets a little stale after a while but there has been effort put into it here, it's just missing a little something extra to take it to that next level, good game for a jam though! Good job!
I really liked your game! the graphics look very good and the music is also pretty catchy:)
Overall fun game, I liked how each ship had a different ability and that ability was lost with the ship. Every ship feels important and it fits very well with the theme.
If you wanted to improve, I suggest an in-game tutorial. I also suggest the ability to change the formation of the ships, I think that could add a lot more versatility and strategy to the game.

Definitely the most innovative game in the Jam! Absolutely love it! The colors and rotation felt very intuitive as well.

The only gripe i had is that i think it would have been a better idea to let the player click on the powerups to use then instead of using the numbers.
Otherwise great idea and great execution!
Very clever design and nice execution. A little hard to play with the keyboard, but I bet it's great with a controller.
