In what way does your game fit the theme?
Chaos mode to cause absolute chaos on the usual gameplay.
Chaos mode includes:
1. Music not in rhythm.
2. A "random set intervals" the player will have some extra chaos added to their movement.
While trying to stay off beat, nothing is more chaotic than your x and y axis being flipped in random directions
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and art assets were made by myself during the jam period
Music was made by https://cor3-stuff.itch.io/ during the jam period

awsome little cute game man, really liked the concept that you can only move in the time beat, combined with puzzle? never imagined, nice!
I like the graphics and the audio, but I'm a bit mixed on gameplay. While taking two diametrically opposed genres and creating a mash up of the two can be interesting, it is very difficult to pull off well, especially when combining the quick reflexes of rhythm games with the slow paced nature of puzzle games. In this case, I feel the Rhythm aspect of this game really hurts the core gameplay. Maybe replacing the rhythm with a more traditional turn-based approach would be better? (See Snakebird or Baba is You).
Great game, Loved the art and music.
This game is great! With good art and even better music, it makes for an all around great experience.
Really interesting take on the dungeon of the necrodancer idea! Those tiles that switched the controls sometimes made it really feel kind of like a rhythm game, because you needed to press the buttons in a specific order. It was also really sneakt how you made the enemies walk around a part where the controls were inverted. Multiple times I ran past the enemy only to walk right back into them because the controls were weird XD The art was also beautiful and the music amazing. I am always so impressed when people make their own music :O
Maybe as a little bit of feedback. To me it was not immediately clear what those green tiles did. The first time encountered it I kind of accidentally solved the puzzle, and put together the pieces of what happened after the fact. But that is just a minor thing. Great job! I really enjoyed it :)
Very Interesting Concept A little annoying tho(in a good way XD)!!
Art style is so good. Player movement with music beat is so clever. Technically it is a very good game. I like it.
Could not hit start, very strange
Use arrow keys or WASD to select options, and E or Enter to start.
thank you
Really cool game - looking forward to more games like this!
Very good concept and style, though it was a tough game for me.
Very well designed levels and mechanics, I loved the concept and the art style, great job!
Moving to the beat... I loved it, I hated it. :) From a mechanic and theme perspective it was great. Fit well and really was the concept of your game. I kept getting out of beat as I wanted to just keep mashing the movement key to get where I wanted to go and that was bit frustrating... but that's on me, not you. Really well done and a very creative implementation.
Fun game! I was disappointed when I hit the end, I wanted more levels!
Artstyle is great, and the soundtrack and the movement with the beat was cool too. What I really liked the inverted movement. Highly polished game. Good Job!
Hey!
I thought the mechanics you introduced were really cool. I really enjoyed the music and the visuals that went along with it.
I wish you integrated rhythm a little bit more into the game, while you had to press to move along with the beat your character really was the only thing that moved with the beat. With rhythm games I almost expect all enemies to move with the beat, as well as beat/rhythm based puzzle solving mechanics.
I'm super impressed that you managed to pull of a rhythm game at all, and though that your ideas for mechanics were super fresh and creative. Great job!
Definitely agree with the enemy movement needing to be in sync with the music. They were a very last minute addition to the game. Would love to flesh out the idea and work more towards a rhythm based world, traps turning off / on with the beat etc.
Must admit I wasted a good day getting my head around the rhythm mechanics! hahaha.
Really enjoyed. The game was really fun. Loved the art and the music beat , it so catch . I don't know if it was on purpose but sometimes the orange boxes move alone ongoing back to there places of origin.
ps: still gona try the chaos mode : )
Very smart way to use the inverted controls, nice job!
I like the concept. Enjoyed it :)
