this was really good :)

Nice polished game, though if anything it made me feel calm whilst playing with the sound of the sea in the background, possibly the opposite of chaos!

Nice game! Now, I do agree that it is really difficult to shoot the enemies since, like the people before me had said, you have to be in their line of fire to do so. BUT! I personally think that the main problem is NOT this since shoot-em-ups like Galaga had these mechanics for YEARS. No, I believe the problem is the lack of vertical space, especially with how big your ship is. Having more vertical space means you CAN shoot their ship and immediately move away since their bullets will take a while to get to your place. That aside tho, I enjoyed the game! I like the little things like putting your name before you play and the sail of the ship moving when you go left or right. Well done!

Fun game! I really like the pirate theme.

I do agree with Zoolouie on the whole "having to shoot the enemy by going into their line of fire" thing. It is really hard to pull off, and feels kind of unfair.

But overall, nice work!

love the ocean ambiance and overall graphics, would love an introduciton of some sort, but overall really fun and great entry for the jam

Howdy ~

I really enjoyed playing the game, I thought the theme was really solid and the graphics super cool.

This has been said before but the fact that you had to be in front of the enemies to shoot them while they shoot forward felt pretty unreasonable and unfair. I think that finding some creative ways to make the enemies threatening while also giving the player free reign over their core mechanic would have really improved the experience.

All the mechanics that were implemented were super solid though and I had a ton of fun playing it! Well done :)

Thank you for the feedback!

Glad oy enjoyed  the game : )

Not the most original idea for sure, but the game works. It needed some music and could indeed be more polished, but it's a solid entry for a game jam.

The graphics look really great!! Excellent game ;)

The graphics of the game are great. Although there could be a bit more content. Still it is a nice little game. Keep going!

The graphics look really great! As for the gameplay, it's really hard to shoot the enemy ships because I have to stand in their line of fire to shoot and they shoot so fast. It would have been great if you could turn your ship rather than just pointing straight up. Or like Eric said, having different enemy fire patterns.

Really great job on the art though!

The enemies shoot with a frequency so high that you can barely stay in front of them to shoot back. This could be solved by making the enemies move faster horizontally, or by giving them shooting patterns (a bust or the consecutive shots, that a longer delay, for example), or by making you evade the enemies themselves, instead of their bullets (for that, you would need to make them more mobile, and probably with different moving patterns).

Anyway, the art is pretty good. Nice job

One of the best presentations and graphics I´ve seen so far, however the game was a little boring for me, since it has no music. But for an arcade, It´s a really good product :).

We didn't have enough experience with sound design to create music for the game :c. but thanks for the comment :D

a Shmup, but with ships, very nice.

Cool scrolling shooter. I would have liked to see power-ups and/or enemy variation, but solid entry.

I Love these kinds of games! was a bit hard for me tho :D
I think it would be cool to see some sort of powerups or upgrades!

Nice game! I liked the art a lot, and I think you executed the concept well. I think it could be improved by allowing the mouse to aim to a point on the screen, rather than only shooting straight ahead. Great job!

Wow, the whole page looks damn good. Great presentation

Glad you enjoyed it!!

Our artist really did a fantastic job

Love the art style! I would suggest adding some random power ups that you can pickup that may or may not help you (smaller ship, stronger bullets etc). Either way nicely done!

Thank you for the feedback!

We tried to implement it but we ran into some problems unfortunately

Cool, the trick to score is trying to destroy the enemies before many appear, if there are many enemies in the screen it is really hard to score lol

This game part is realy fun, during the development we were laughing a lot because of the amount of boats that kept appearing over time
