In what way does your game fit the theme?
As the rounds go on more enemies spawn in, and each round gets more chaotic as you struggle to survive.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and assets were made by us, excluding the grass assets which were taken from the Unity Standard Assets package.

The monster designs were solid (really liked the variety), besides the knife the other 2 weapons worked well. The audio looping is also pretty noticable. So a bit rough around the edges but fun nontheless.

Thanks for the feedback!

The concept is nice but there are some things that require a little more work in my opinion:

  • The enemies tend to spawn behind the player - it seems unfair
  • You can get stuck by running our of ammo (and you can get -1 ammo as well)
  • The red flashes are a little too slow and too in-the-face - a hurt sound would have been better in my opinion
  • The art styles don't match - the grass doesn't fit
  • The crosshair is a little too big

Overall I still enjoyed it, but it needs some improvements.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, we'll definitely have to look further into some of the glitches, but as for the enemies we'll try to add an indication that they're behind you

Nice game. The 3d models were good, but as other said, it was way too dark. I spent a lot of time wondering why I was dying because someone had snuck up behind me.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We'll try to add some sort of indication that there's someone behind you after voting ends!

Alright. Let's review yours, as I said I'll give critics, here they are,

  • concept good.
  • World was too dark and foggy
  • camera movement need more fix.
  • No enemy direction indicator.
  • Lacks of game juice..

I'd love you to play and critics mine too,  https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1177946

I have trouble with the options menu but the game is interesting, especially the ambiance and the design of the monsters.

Good game would like too see some animations to the enemies and also this indicator

so i come to know where i am getting hit from

nice job! I'm digging the weird music lol The enemies are definitely strange!

Interesting game. I think you inspired yourself from the killing floor games :))). There is too much fog fog for me. You can try to add a flashlight or anything brighter in the game.

Developer

Unfortunately we didn’t really have a way to know how it looked/played on different computers, so we never tested for lower brightness and such either, but we’ll try to make things more visible after voting ends!

Seeing the screenshots first, it did look like a horror game, but when I started playing it I realized it wasn't. Good, because I'm an absolute CHICKEN with horror games xD

The spooky ambience is nice and I like the graphics! Though I'd back up and hit an enemy behind me that I didn't know was there. So like others said, a sound for them so we know when and where they are coming from would help a lot.

Overall, very nice entry!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We actually ended up making it spookier than we intended when first planning it out, but I’m glad you like the aesthetic! As for enemies, after the game jam we’ll try to figure out how to make it more obvious where they’re at exactly

Nice game, I like the spooky atmosphere and the design of the enemies. As others have said, it would be great to give some sound for the enemies so the player hears them approaching. Also, the options menu doesn't work at all. If I adjust the sensitivity, the game doesn't change it so I struggled to turn so slow. One more problem is that the volume slider changes the sensitivity number.

Thanks for letting us know, unfortunately I don’t think we’re allowed to post an updated version because of the deadline, but after the jam we’ll post a fixed version

Hmm I seemed to struggle with lag in the windows version. Might just be me though!

Also on top of people saying to see the enemies, I will also say a bit of audio would help a LOT (I love directional audio though) because even if something spawned close to you, you'd hear it approaching. Just a few footsteps of an approaching monster would be great.

Developer

Sorry if I'm not completely sure by what you mean, is there no audio playing or do you think we should adjust the current sound effects? and thanks for the feedback!

nice game, as others have said the level should probably let the enemy's be spotted earlier

Developer

Unfortunately we didn't have much time to test on different brightness/monitor settings, but if we do update this game we'll try to make them stand out more. Thanks for the feedback!

Nice game! But it was very hard to spot the enemies.

PLS rate my game too - https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1168778

Developer

This may've been an artifact of it initially being tested on a computer on max brightness, thanks for letting us know!

There are a lot of mystic feelings coming out of this game! Overall plays nicely, If I would change anything it would be the level so you can see enemies earlier.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that we could make some improvements with enemies standing out
