It was Pretty Fun, The Turnless mode Felt Bad to Be Honest Because the Ai would automaticly move the king back to the board. Other wise it Was Pretty Fun don't really think its very chaotic but still fun looks and sounds good.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
A very chaotic game where chess pieces get flung across an arena during the match. In turnless mode, unpredictable physics cause a ton of pieces to get knocked around at once
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
No, the audiomanager code is from Brackeys and I also used an outline script.

Really fun game, but I think I discovered an OP strategy: move the pawn in front of the queen out of the way, then fling the queen towards the black king, if the black king is still on the board just keep flinging your queen towards him until he gets knocked off the board. This almost guarantees a win in 2 or 3, maybe 4 moves.
Really a nice game .... But could have been executed well... Do check out my chaotic scifi fps shooter game...
I love chess and now I love super chaotic chess. Fantastic idea and game production. Very well done!
So cool! I love how you combined chess and chaos in a pretty original and fun way.
Stunning visuals with catchy music. One of the more polished games in this jam! Although for some reason I can't exit the game properly, escape or pause button would be nice addon :)
Amazing definitely the best game I have played in the jam so far
Amazing visuals
Great audio
and it really was chaotic
a few problems such as no way of pausing the game and lost of chess pieces on the ground blocking you way so you kind of get stuck
but overall the game is great
also could you maybe try my game I do really want some feedback
Very impressive game! I really enjoyed this unique take on the theme! Love the visuals and sound design!
I'd love you to play and rate mine. It has unique platformer and top down blend. I bet you will love the challenge. I'll rate yours after you do mine and put a comment. Happy developing
Really well done! The aesthetics were so nice and the music fit well! I love the idea of a chaotic chessboard being the goal.
It was a little buggy the first time I played it and it would not let me move. Maybe add a pause menu so you can quit out if necessary. Also while it was fun to mess around the board it would sometimes get to a state where you would not have strong enough pieces to push strongly enough to win. This would lead to an endless stalemate.
This game feels like what Sheldon Cooper would get when he asked a monkey's paw for "chess plus physics"
The idea is pretty absurd and certainly chaotic. The presentation is great, too. Turnless mode is truly chaotic and I would never wish that on my worst enemy lol. The game was decently fun and I don't even like chess. The physics could always use tuning. It was a little unreliable trying to figure out exactly how my shot would turn out. The camera did some wonky things. The first turn the AI took made my queen fly far behind the camera and ended up locking it for 20-30 seconds while the piece came to a rest.
Other than that, it's a solid, humorous entry. Well done!
Very nice! The idea is very interesting and results in a very chaotic chessboard especially on turnless mode. I really like how everything on the board can be pushed around. The main thing I think could be done better would be a better indicator of turn because sometimes the AI can make really small movements and then I don't realize that it's my turn again, especially because sometimes it can be hard to click the pieces.
It really is idea and a great game. Very good job!
Edit: the other thing that would be really great is something that lists the properties of the different pieces such as movement.
Ui in the beginning is a BIT confusing. I need to be drawn to where to click/press. I can't really tell what my goal is or how to score.
I really like the music, and the presentation. The graphic are great! I wish i could click off / cancel my selection when I click a piece. Also, maybe if there was information about each piece that popped up when I clicked them so I could understand their differences? That would be cool too.
There Isnt really a goal to the game except to kill the enemy king, and its mostly supposted to be a fun little minigame when youre bored
I will add deselecting by clicking off in the megachessatron update after the jam, and possibly a chesshandbook in the game to tell the differences between pieces
for now:
-king: the most defensive piece in the game, also pretty decent for attacking
-queen: a stronger bishop with less recoil
-bishop: a suicide bomber, second highest speed in the game but really light and takes a lot of recoil
-rook: second heaviest piece in the game, also has pretty decent attack when used at close range
-knight: jumps up and can bounce on pieces, great for clearing areas of lighter pieces for attacking pieces to go through
-pawn: Almost does nothing, but its angle of attack is great for knocking pieces over
Hope this answers your questions!
