How does you game fit the theme?
Word play in the title, and by the end of the game you produce "fake" fish using a factory and drive away all the real fish.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. The only asset not created by myself and my team is the Chill Pixels font, which is a free for commercial use font.

Nice game! Found the rod mechanics to be painfully hard, ended up only using the spear myself. Nice take on exponential growth, although it turns the gameplay into just buying the best (by the profit/cost ratio) workers in the shop and catching fish while you wait for more money. Anyways, good job!

I went full spear and net upgrades since they felt faster and more profitable than the rod. Then I realized it was all a waste since no more fish were spawning cuz of the factories. Big sad. Great job on the game, it's fun going fishing with the different minigames. And nice twist on the game jam theme

Very cute and creative! The sound and art are fantastic, and despite their simplicity, the fishing minigames were fun.
I think the "idle game" design somewhat takes away from the experience - I had to walk away from the game for a couple minutes during the latter half of my playthrough, and when I got back, I just had all the money I needed to reach the ending. It didn't really feel earned.
While I get what you were going for with the ending, it didn't particularly resonate with me (perhaps in part for the above reason). In terms of just fun, I think the factories detract from it slightly. By reducing the amount of fish, you reduce the amount of minigames you get to play. I think I would have liked to see the factory have its own minigame to maintain the level of fun the game started out with for the rest of the playthrough.

Congrats on completing the jam! I really enjoyed this, it was a great balance between an idle game with enough mini-games to keep me busy while racking up the money.
I wasn't aware for quite some time that it was possible to upgrade my abilities, something that makes that more obvious would be a great tweak. The suggested timing for a game was off - it might scare away some game jam reviewers who don't want to invest that much time.
