How does you game fit the theme?
There are "Spoofs", or imitations of yourself that act as obstacles, and in some cases tools in the levels. However, they aren't real, they lack the ability to finish a level or to move on their own.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All assets made by me, in two days (I forgot about this jam lol so I did it basically all in one go). This includes: art, animation, code, music, sound effects, and level design, etc.

I love the game idea! Great job!

I just rated your game, maybe you can do the same on mine ^_^

Well having originally played it without reading the description I was a bit a lost on the concept but the mechanics were relatively apparent since there's quite a few games using the old move multiple things mechanic.  Though it was quite interesting dealing with them all at once and the fact that they could not go through certain blocks, though the blocks seemed to be relatively forgiving in that they only block one or two.

Which lead to some more creative solutions I think.  I do have to say though the exit being blocked was not super conveyed well on the visuals side when there was a button to unlock it.  Gameplay wise though it made sense.

Overall a nice puzzle game with a decent concept and some good mechanics.  Especially quite good for 2 days of a 7 day jam for sure.  Not what I would expect from 2 days at all.

Cool puzzle game! The blue palette is so soothing and fits the mood.

As someone who loves playing puzzle games, some levels actually took me a while to figure out what to do. But that's what I like about puzzle games, these levels are very interesting and well designed. Great job, what a fantastic game!

Developer

I'm so happy that you found it challenging! I really enjoyed designing the puzzles too, so I'm glad it goes both ways. Thanks so much for the feedback!

A few Gamemachanics weren't that understandable at first but I liked that the puzzles were neither too hard nor too easy. Nice Work!

Developer

if you don't mind me asking , which mechanics  were the least clear?  Would love to hear where I should improve. Thanks!

The interactions between the different blocks and characters. it wasn't that bad but you could have included more intro levels to teach how everything interacts with each other. Of course I get that this was a game jam and you probably needed the time elsewhere.

Developer(+1)

Ok that makes a lot of sense, thanks! It definitely could've used a bit of clarity. For the blocks that you pass through if they aren't your color, the sprites were supposed to be placeholders so that might have added to it too. And I agree I probably could've introduced them in a better way too. Thanks again!

Solid game with pretty decent puzzles.

loved playing this satisfying puzzle game.  I really enjoyed the mechanics of your imitations, having to use them to beat the level was challenging but fun, and of course zapping them was silly and enjoyable as well hahah.  great work on the music and sfx too, awesome job overall!!

Developer

Good to hear! I had initially made the death animation as a joke, but I felt it added a bit more character than just having the character shrink away or something, so I decided to keep it and try to make the deaths a bit sillier so it wouldn’t be as frustrating to lose. Thanks for the insight!

I think this game is awesome. The visuals are a little opaque at first, but it quickly becomes a fascinating puzzler with interesting design.

Developer

I’m happy you enjoyed it! For this game I tried to keep everything nice and simple, rather than trying to fit in too many details, thus allowing me to polish some of the mechanics more than in some previous projects, so hopefully in the future I’ll strike a better balance with that. Thanks for the feedback!
