Sooo good! It's very polished, with the upgrades, effects, the random recipes. The art is really good and the audio. Nothing but praise :)

How does you game fit the theme?
The protagonist has to fight her own hallucinations, which are, obviously, not real.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Most sounds from freesound under CC0 license, but modified.

Makes use of https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/gui/simple-heart-health-system-120676 (but heart sprites are mine)
Rest is by me.

Really neat idea with extremely satisfying shooting mechanics. Congrats on the submission 🎉
This game is really promising. Too bad you don't like to expand it. What i like the most is the character, i like the design of the person, both in the cover art and in the game, your graphical workaround for a jumping animation is a good idea, i think. I felt the gameplay a bit too long to go and find the right monsters. An indicator where to find them would have been great, as a minimap for example, too. Also an indicator where to go to get back. But these are only small wishes i would have had. I also like the graphics in the background. I would like to see more background graphics, and i acknowledge that of course it's not much time in a jam to pack the game full of art. So, in all, a very well done game! :)
Happy to be the 20th to rate your game! :)
What I loved about it was the pixel art. Our team is not big on art either and I'm trying to learn it now and this was a great example of pixel art and 2D animation that does not require countless hours or much experience to make but still looks good.
The sound effects are okay but I think the game could really benefit from some tense action music in the background, maybe even changing based on the current player stats.
The dialogues were creative and well-written, but I'd recommend adding an option where you can skip the typing and display it all at once (maybe with space or a click), because some people don't really like waiting for the typing effect.
Overall, a consistent and fun little thing, do you plan on expanding it after the jam?
Thank you for your kind words! I'm actually not much of an artist, and a lot of the game's looks comes from the lighting. They're an easy way to make your game look great.

With lighting and bloom:

I didn't really have too much time for writing music, so I went for something ambient that the player can tune out, but I definitely agree that the game would benefit from that.
I agree about the dialogue. Currently, holding space makes the dialogue go faster, but it's probably too subtle.
Right now I don't have any plans to expand this, although I'll consider it if people are interested.
I appreciate the detailed feedback!
Great game, I love it!
I just rated your game, maybe you can do the same on mine ^_^
Very fun game, I think the story and objectives are really interesting!
I really enjoyed the game. I like the enemies, and the free roam was a great idea!
The map was a lot bigger than I expected. Great work! The jumping animation is cute.
Like the style and ambience! Pretty difficult but fun. Good diversity of enemies. OMG that rolling head, weird and scary :) Didn't got far enough to see if there were more weapons. On point with theme as far as I'm concerned. Definitely could have used a minimap.
Great effort!
