How does you game fit the theme?
The player is in an empty building faced with slightly odd events that do not feel real. They find that the exits do not work and that the doors are not real. Some walls are not even real too...

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No. Credits are in the game but most assets are from the Synty store or Unity standard assets. Code is from Unity documentation or the Brackeys menu tutorial video.

Yay I managed to escape! Really simple and sweet with a nice use of dialogue to help guide the player along. Cool submission!

That was fun, there's a lot of potential for an escape-room style story to be built around this mechanic.

Wish I could play but sadly I'm on mac!

Developer

I'm a bit out of practice with uploading builds so I ran out of time debugging last minute issues. I plan to make sure all future jams I make are available for online play (as well as downloads for WIN/MAC)!

Post-jam I will be working on the web release and just implementing soo many updates that people have suggested. :)

Very interesting game. I like the fact that you placed a few clues to make it easier to find the exit. I found a puddle of blood in the second last room and when I came closer to inspect it, I stumbled into the next room. Quite clever. It is a good small game and I think it will work great with some additions to the graphics (wall textures and having a roof maybe, instead of the regular endless blue sky)

Developer

Fun fact: I had a roof originally but realized it took too much time out of my schedule to set up lighting the way I wanted, so everything got scraped. Definitely have some ideas for handling that in the later builds, because creating shadows and darker rooms will add to the unease of the player.

Yea! The time restrictions really make one think twice about what to focus more on. And it's good that you focused on the core gameplay stuff rather than the overall look of the game.

Interesting.

Due to a bug, you can look through walls.

To be honest, without this bug would not have been able to pass the game ; D

Developer(+1)

When I work on the full game I will definitely be easing the player into looking around the environment and having more cues for what walls are fake. The bug is related to Unity's controller, but I think it's fine to leave it in since players will think they are clever by peering into a storage room they can't access and seeing a skeleton or something lol.

this was a fun game! It was a bit hard to finally get to the end, but it was great!  I do think, like a few others mentioned, implementing some audio would really help with the immersion a bit!

I would love to play a more fleshed out version!

Good job and fun game. Would like to see a version with audio in the future.

A pity that it does not have sound, the experience would have improved a lot. Nice job

nice game man

Thank you!

I had fun, would have loved to heard sound. I think you could keep going with this and turn it into a game with a story.

I escaped. It took me a while to find that last exit. It's very hidden.

Great concept, and the fire gives everything a sense of urgency.

Developer

Definitely going to try to make the full game easier to break into -- as well as slowly increasing the urgency instead of the craziness of level 2 haha.

You did well! Looking forward to a full release ^_^

Developer

Thank you! :D

Interesting game! I agree with the others that it seemed off that there was no sound or music in the game.

im intrigued; i wanna know whats going on. why is there no audio?? why is everything on fire? I like the world you set up, with little visual gags like the hand in thevending machine, and the fun dialouge. also i think i broke something after dieing to the fire, it wasnt there anymore when i returned to the room...

 good job eitherway! :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the input! When you die the level just resets, so that's why. Audio was not added and I do have a full story outline written out for this. There is soo much I want to do in regards to this project, but was heavily limited by the timeframe and unexpected issues (the new InputSystem, build issues, fun coding errors ;D)

The game is quite good.i don't know if it's bug but I don't hear any sound.it would have been better with suspense music.it's kind of a bummer that it's cliffhanger.

Developer

I sadly ran out of time before adding music. I thought I had time to work it in but then some last minute playtesting issues took precedence. Lesson learned is build the executable ahead of time and playtest it there!
