All the code, assets and music where made by me in the jam period. Only the font and some sound effects are from the web.

A nice multi-staged boss fight. I especially liked the attack where the giant wall spreads out from the middle. The characters and environment are cute and charming. The player abilities, specifically dashing and throwing pumpkins, felt good to use.
Didn't seem like there was much penalty for getting hit. There's no hitstun, and I got hit several times and never died (Is there health? Can you die?).
The fight was easy overall, which I can respect. As someone who loves a good challenge, though, an extra hard version of the fight would have been a nice bonus.

you guys giving me so much great feedback that i’am really hoping i can do a complete game out of this one. Be assure, there will be a hard mode!

This is an excellent start for a story-driven game that lasts for about a half-hour or so. The jam’s theme gives away the story, but it can definitely work outside of it! The character design was really impressive, and the whole thing felt complete for the purpose of the jam! Kudos!

Very nice game. The controls are solid and the art style is very cute. The gameplay is overall pretty nice. The only nitpick I have is with the blue walls, I kept getting basically stuck on them which was kind of annoying but other than that everything is great. Good job!!
Nice use of the theme! Good job on having different mechanics to the fight. I enjoyed experiencing the story, nice build up!
Some notes:
Thx dude! The purple walls where the bane of the project. I spent so much time failing to fix this collision glitch, that the cauldron was the first of many victims… In 4th phase, the witch would keep in the air and the cauldron should be destroyed to prevent skeletons to spawn. But, thanks to the purple wall, i couldn’t polish the throw mechanic and, because of that, the witch only flys a little bit and the cauldron lost his function… A true domino effect.
I had planned a health bar to the witch too, and sometimes it would shown the balarina picture. But that was yet another victim…
For the main player, the lack of health was one of starting points, since the witch just wanted him to go away. But, after some great feedback, i think i could do something better with a gameplay mechanic.
Having had to cut a lot of scope in our game too, I totally understand! Keep at it!
cool game idea did not see the twist ending coming. would have liked to see the health of the witch some where on the screen, and maybe add some player health so that the witch could kill the player but that would make the game more difficult, great game idea though
Thx a lot, dude! The witch health was planned but was cut to make the deadline of the jam… I though much about the soldier health and, since the witch just wanted him to go away, i decided to make the game “unlosable” to fit better with the history.
Aiming the pumpkins at the witch was really hard for me lol
But overall very fun game. I enjoyed it.
Great game. It's a very solid boss fight, took me a while before I realized I could throw pumpkins at her.
I loved the models, they were super charming, especially the goblin and the skeleton (freakin loved the way he just explodes into bones. Wish I would have implemented that into our game.)

Really solid game, one of the most cohesive I’ve played so far! Would like to see some work on the assets (music/sfx/graphics) but you made a complete and interesting game. I think the wave effect was cool to have in there. I would suggest making it quicker, waves spawn farther apart, and have a bigger open section, because it became tiring to chase down the witch and get caught in that constantly. Throwing pumpkins was also hard because it was difficult to gauge the space and where the pumpkin would go. Really solid game though, I really appreciated how it was one solid level with everything working towards the storyline from beginning to end!
Ah the frailties of youthful ambition. It reminds me of my days at university writing sonnets to woo the ladies. I have come a long way since those days.
A pretty neat experience! I really enjoy how unique all of the fazes feel while still like they all fit the character.
I did encounter a bug where if you roll in front of a pumpkin, and then pick it up as you're rolling, it then makes the roll animation a bit odd, as well as sometimes mess up the rotation of the pumpkin. Overall though, that's a small bug for a well put together boss fight. good work!
That was great! I really appreciate your choice to not have a player death mechanic, because I really took a beating there :P Getting cameras to render the different characters in the text boxes must have been a challenge, I really appreciated that! It made a big difference compared to if you just had static images.
