This game looks so cool! I like characters and level design. Great puzzle game!
Very nice game, genuinely enjoyed. Would appreciate if you play and rate our game as well!
Hello. Nice game! Please check mine, too. https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1681109
Hi, thank you for feedback, no! <3
The visuals are awesome! I like how navigating the menu is the same as moving around in the game!
Thank you for feedback!
Good puzzle. It’s a bit inconvenient that in order to figure out where the bacteria will move, you first have to make a move and then replay, but I liked the game!
Thank you!
Fantastic game! Love how each bacteria group moves in its own way. Took me some time to figure out how each group moves. With the music, it sometimes felt like a dance between the player and the enemy (in this case the bacteria) which felt pretty nice. Really fun game :)
Thank you for kind words! Glad that you liked the gameplay and music!
Fun puzzles. Being able to swap places with a bacteria feels a little confusing at first but definitely makes for some interesting levels. Personally I want an indicator of what the bacteria's next moves are, though that may take away some difficulty.
Graphics and audio are nice.
Impressive that everything is made from scratch. Good job.
This is one of those jam submissions that are so well rounded that I would believe they were longer projects. Great job and congrats!
Nice game i like the idea and the graphics! :)
The idea is really cool and has some potential, but it felt unbalanced and frustrating at some points. Still, game actually looks really good and is a good experience. Really well done for only 1 week of work! Good job!
Thank you for feedback! What exactly did you found unbalanced?
The difficulty spikes, especially from level 2 to 3, felt really steep in my opinion. Might as well be just my opinion of course :). I'd also add a restart button, by the way, not just an X to go to the menu.
Thanks for elaborating!
That is some very good criticism.
We have a restart button actually, but we forgot to tell players where to find it :D (It's R)
Really well polished game!
The one aspect of this fantastic game that I don't particularly enjoy is the way the germs move. I just don't understand why to do this because then I didn't feel like solving puzzles but just predicting my opponents' next move, and yes they act the same way in one level but not in the others. For example, blue bacteria at first level stops when it reaches corner and green one doesn't, instead of continuing this in other levels green stops and blue is moving and sometimes both stops Other than that, the game is excellent and received ratings of 4 to 5. You should be proud of yourself for a great game.:) If you want to would you feel like rating my game please? Or if not then you could help the people in the need of rating catogory. What ever you choose it is up to you. Keep up the creation of fun games :)
Really cute, but the game abuses bacteria that moves in a straight line.
Woaw can't believe you made all the assets from scratch
I can't believe it too! We pushed ourselves for this one, thank you for the comment!
The graphics, the level design, the idea are all so cool!
Thank you kindly!
Great game that has great graphics, audio and is fun to play, only think i just dont like is bacteria movement.
Example - blue bacteria at first level stops when it reaches corner and green one doesnt, instead of continuing this in other levels green stops and blue is moving and sometime both stops, same goes for side walking bacteria and i just dont understand why to do this, because then I did not felt like solving puzzle but just guessing my opponents next move, and yes they act same way in one level but not in the others
Other than that game is great and earned 4 - 5 all across a board. Great game and you can be proud of your self. :)
We are aware of some inconsistency issues, but the ones you described are new to us. All enemies of a type should move according to the pattern of that type across all levels (some enemies start rotated though, which is bad since it makes it impossible to know what their first turn will be). The green, blue and yellow bacteria's pattern should always make them stop for one turn when something blocks their path.
There is the issue that it's impossible to predict which enemy will take priority, when two enemies try to move onto the same spot. Is it possible that you stumbled across this issue and mistook it for another?
Otherwise that'd be a pretty severe bug I'd like to know more about :D
Thank you for all the kind words and for taking the time to report this issue!
there's a lot of attention to details here, like how the bacteria look like the type of movement they perform, and how some levels had bacteria multiplying out of the player's reach just to add to the immersion. Good job!
Great design, rlly nice idea with the wound as a goal! Also very interesting mechanic with the enemies moving when you do, cute blood cell :)
Really cute-gross visuals with a fun puzzle hook. Great example of taking a good concept and expanding it over the course of a game, with interesting levels and a good difficulty curve. Great work!
Incredible game! Even at the start when it's easy, it's still satisfying to play, and then in the later stages when you have to think about it more, it's really fun to figure them out. Excellent job.
It keeps my heart warm after reading such comments! Thank you for feedback!
