This is a neat entry! The objects in the level reminded me of Mario, and I may or may not have tried jumping on the enemies at first lol. Only problem I had was when pressing escape to pause the game, but ending up having to restart. Other than that, great job!

I like the take on making a tower defence in a side scroller view, and I think this could very well be experienced further. Also great art style, I will say that not having sprites for the projectile is a bit of a shame since it breaks the composition.

However nice work, I'm just going to list out ways of improvement:

- The UI is a bit overwhelming, it takes a big place on the screen and definitely takes time to get used to it and fully understand it. Plus be aware that it does stack when you press escape in the shop, may be bug prone.

- The game pace should be more tense I believe, especially for the earlier waves, everything feels very slow you need to wait a lot of time while there isn't a huge threat on the screen.

- The shop is definitely a nice mechanic and I like the 4 items, however I had this bug when the shredding tower would down enemies to 0 health without killing them

Im glad you enjoyed the game and thank you for the feedback. ive gotten other people say that the game is to easy early on and im going to work on improving that in a post jam version. also thanks for pointing out these bugs

Nice game, I like how you have a unique character at the start of each run and it affected how I player e.g. w/ Fast ladder climber I'd use ladders more to get ahead of enemies

yeah very nice game. I enjoyed all the upgrades and figuring out the best places to put things. i did notice that some enemies were not dying by the traps, they would have empty health bars and i would have to finish them off. More game feel would be nice aswell but good game

Im glad you enjoyed my game, throughout the jam i knew this was happening and just put it to the side since it wasn't a game breaking issue,  so my procrastination was my downfall lol

Pretty cool concept and take on the theme.  Nice visuals and sound effects.   Character controls were a little to floaty for my liking, but overall good job!

This was a great and satisfying game! I managed to beat it after a while, and I really like the implementation of the theme. the graphics, everything!

However, for some reason, I accidentaly pressed ESC instead of X in the shop, and my progress got completely erased. This was pretty frustrating, so would be nice if it gave you a warning like "Are you sure you want to quit to the menu?"

Also the game is unnecessarily long, with a really plain ending, I would reduce the number of waves, and make the different enemies come sooner, it gets pretty stale after a while.

But great job!!
