How does your game fit the theme?
Every time you die you keep the abilities you unlocked before you death. You do this till your strong enough to defeat the final boss. Also every time you die the game generates a new level.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes except fonts from google fonts. Also I followed some tutorials for some things.

Cool game bro!
I rated your game
So you rate my game
Here is my game-https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-9/rate/1933204
Your game has a lot of charm. It's clear that you put a lot of heart into creating it, and it really shows.
A game of this genre is just begging for a gamejam with such a theme:)
Looks good, I did not notice particularly significant problems, good job!
I know that the theme being applied here is the death mechanic, in which you get to keep the abilities post-mortem. Still, it is possible to finish the game without dying. I think what could be done here is to increase the number of enemies per room or just their durability (since there are enemies who spread bullets). The life could also be decreased so that the player has the risk of dying immediately if they move carelessly.
The camera shake and CRT/screen effect compliments the visuals. The SFX makes it feel like an arcade game so it is a nice touch to it.
I believe that the game could be expanded more with other variety of enemies, room layouts, and upgrades. Good job with the entry!
I really enjoyed playing this game - the gameplay is a lot of fun and the concept is great. However, I do think the graphics could use some work. While they're not terrible, they definitely don't do the game justice. With some better visuals, this game could be truly outstanding.
Really fun! My favorite type of gamejam game..
"Dev art" + Good mechanics..
The weapons cards looked great and the minimap was awesome.
Would like to hear what you think about ours.. not as action-focused but it's also procedural. Trying to get an idea of how easily people finish it. Takes me about 2-3 mins but I've been playing it for 3 days. Definitely could use as much feedback as we can get. Thanks!
Really nice game concept. The music worked well and the art was nice even if it was simple with the old monitor screen vibes in the polish. The screen shake tended to be a lot to handle since it did a very large shake on every shot but the core metaprogression with the player getting stronger each run was nice
Managed to complete the game in my first run without dying but I went back to check out the death mechanics
