How does your game fit the theme?
Every time you die you keep the abilities you unlocked before you death. You do this till your strong enough to defeat the final boss. Also every time you die the game generates a new level.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes except fonts from google fonts. Also I followed some tutorials for some things.

Thanks for submitting your game to the stream!
If you wanted to check the vod again in the future here it is (games are separated into chapters with yours being the sixth chapter)
Thanks!
Cool game bro!
I rated your game
So you rate my game
Here is my game-https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-9/rate/1933204
Awesome thanks so much for the feedback! If I update this after the jam I will definitely keep this stuff in mind. Either way definitely gonna use those screen shake options in different games.
Your game has a lot of charm. It's clear that you put a lot of heart into creating it, and it really shows.
Thanks!
A game of this genre is just begging for a gamejam with such a theme:)
Looks good, I did not notice particularly significant problems, good job!
I know that the theme being applied here is the death mechanic, in which you get to keep the abilities post-mortem. Still, it is possible to finish the game without dying. I think what could be done here is to increase the number of enemies per room or just their durability (since there are enemies who spread bullets). The life could also be decreased so that the player has the risk of dying immediately if they move carelessly.
The camera shake and CRT/screen effect compliments the visuals. The SFX makes it feel like an arcade game so it is a nice touch to it.
I believe that the game could be expanded more with other variety of enemies, room layouts, and upgrades. Good job with the entry!
Thanks! I think your right about the difficulty level. I tried to make it easier because its a game jam and I want everyone to be able to fully experience it but I ended up making it to easy.
Good game! Nice use of camera shaking and other post-processing effects really added another layer of polish!
Great game! Absolutely loved it :)
Thanks!
Nice game!
Thanks!
Really nice game loved the art on the cards
Thanks!
great game bro
wait what
after i restarted my autoclicker didn't work anymore
Nice game with very nice juice!
(laughs in autoclicker)
Really solid juice! This game worked really nicely :>
love the sound design!
Thanks!
I really enjoyed playing this game - the gameplay is a lot of fun and the concept is great. However, I do think the graphics could use some work. While they're not terrible, they definitely don't do the game justice. With some better visuals, this game could be truly outstanding.
Thanks! I decided to go with simple graphics for this game since I knew I could easily finish it.
It's a pretty cool idea and a cool game
Thank you!
Very cool game and To be honest I really liked the camera shake though some others seem to not. Awesome little roguelite!
Thanks!
Really fun! My favorite type of gamejam game..
"Dev art" + Good mechanics..
The weapons cards looked great and the minimap was awesome.
Would like to hear what you think about ours.. not as action-focused but it's also procedural. Trying to get an idea of how easily people finish it. Takes me about 2-3 mins but I've been playing it for 3 days. Definitely could use as much feedback as we can get. Thanks!
Thanks ill play yours right now
Really nice game concept. The music worked well and the art was nice even if it was simple with the old monitor screen vibes in the polish. The screen shake tended to be a lot to handle since it did a very large shake on every shot but the core metaprogression with the player getting stronger each run was nice
Managed to complete the game in my first run without dying but I went back to check out the death mechanics
Thanks for the feedback! Definitely going to fix the screen shake after the jam.
