Character needs a bit more freedom of movement and maybe an extra ability, knockbacks windup is just too long to be reliable, and lacks indication of it's range

I played for a half hour. It was fun to walk around the town and explore, trying to almost treat it like a stealth game and break off one guard at a time while keeping up my health with townspeople. I made it into the keep and even to the king one time, but I died almost immediately.

I wish I'd been able to become more powerful by draining lots of people; it sounds like something like that might have been planned. It would have been nice if the drain had speeded up the more people I drained, or just letting me  move faster for every 5 people I drained or something. That phrase in the tutorial--something about "The king becomes weaker the more guards and citizens you drain"--was very intriguing.

Clearly a lot of effort went into the art and animations. I liked the pulling, draining and floating animations, and the jump (though I couldn't find much of a use for it). The NPCs had some decent reaction animation to being picked up. I also liked the atmosphere of the town, the low-poly trees were really pretty, and the castle on the hill was very imposing.

The controls were quite janky. :P The "special move" (???) had a lot of windup time, but it was a kind of fun challenge to time the knockdown correctly. The pulling move was also kind of fun. I wish there had been an indicator of who was in range and who wasn't for those, but I can understand why not.

I also really appreciated the music. It was used to help establish the mood and even to help guide you to the right path; it would fade out when you were wandering far afield. The church was really interesting, too; I feel like more was probably planned with that. I wish I'd been able to finish it. I honestly would love to beat it/see the ending, so I'll look forward to an update if you guys are planning one.

Really good job! I think it's great that you got a team together and accomplished so much in a week!

I couldn't make it past the castle entrance before getting frustrated and quitting. The guards run up on you 3 at a time and it only takes a few hits to die, so theres no real gameplay solution to dealing with 3 guards other than kiting and trying to Line of Sight and break one off at a time. The framerate really takes a dive when your standing at the graveyard and looking down on the town. I think the best part of this game are the voice clips of the vampire as you're chasing down villagers!

Could use a bit of proofreading; the sentences are a bit iffy in places. Music and sound are great! The camera can sometimes glitch when you pull someone. As long as you’re at range you’re fine, but if guards get near you at all, you’re dead. So the concept is fun - murder spree! - but it’s a bit too difficult.

A very fun concept!

With a little more time in the oven, this could prove to be a fun experience. It would need some optimization: The game seems to stutter on occasion, and I fear not a lot of occlusion or LOD has been implemented.

Also, the balancing seems a bit off: A guard can basically 2-3 shot you if he is not stunned, meaning if more than 1 guard approaches, you're likely to die.

This definitely has potential!

I really like the premise, and it lets the player feel badass. I felt like a vampire lord in Skyrim lol.

However, while the model are good and the animations are top notch, the technical implementation leaves a little to be desired...

The framerate drops from time to time, which is weird since I'm playing with an RTX 2080 Ti. Also some lighting/textures popping like the stones of your cave.

The only game design gripe I have with the game is that personally I feel like my health goes down too quickly.

Cool premise, very much like blood omen, but a bit hard and on the tedious side (having to kill guards one by one, which doesn't always work)

Theme: It's a reverse horror, liked the premise a lot

Fun: Felt like a kick-ass vampire, right until a guard yeeted me into the afterlife. I didn't manage to win, and fighting all the guards one by one was tedious

Game Design: Quite buggy, especially with animations. Make your background music source global, not in world space please xD

ok so, you definetly hit the theme and its really cool and i loved it... untill i left the graveyard and 10 guards gaged up on me and killed me every time i tried to get past, i tried to be seneaky and take them out 1 by 1, didnt work, i tried inoring them, dint work and after a fiew tries i jut quit, i might just be missing something obvious but as far as i know not fun. now the game design is accually really nice and it works well, the combat has to be reworked a lot but other then that very good game, good job!

veri cool
