I killed the first boss and fed the little girl, I don't think you can progress further in this version because the portals don't work, but I will certainly get back to the game when the new version is uploaded, the game is both super charming and smooth, presentation and gameplay are both strong and so it's a delight to play.

The visual style for this game is super cool, would absolutely love to see it fully realized! The screen effect was a cool addition too. The movement is pretty nice, and I really like the idea of obtaining ingredients to cook! It seemed like there was more depth to the game that some bugs were stopping, super tragic to hear since I was excited to explore more!

A cute little game! Controls are snappy and satisfying. Monsters are cute, deadly, AND delicious!

UI could use a little work, when the inventory is full items flow out the bottom.

Music was relaxing and fitting. Sound effects felt good and responsive.

Overall, a fun little game! Great work :)

Movement feels great. Quick and easy combat is fun. Art is great. Concept is great.

I got locked during my fifth or sixth fight. Not sure what happened there.

I think it freeze when you die, you can heal yourself with consumables to kill it then get back and cook something to feed the child girl but I don't think there's more in this version, this must be the mentioned portal bug.

Very responsive movement, it was easy to navigate the game with this movement.

I was able to go through the dungeon and kill a monster before a portal. Is that the end in the current version? I was searching for ingredients for the second townfolk, but was unable to find anything.

This game is FUN! I never in a million years expected to play a cooking crawler :)

Movement was quick and responsive. I like the simple yet appropriate graphics style and the switch effect between realms is really cool.

If developed further with more content and less bugs then I think this could be a great game!

It froze for me mid-fight versus something that seemed like a boss enemy.

Well done :)

Awesome monsters and graphics. The world switching effect is rad and you can move around fast. The game got stuck fighting some monster deep within a dungeon (I had health left but could not input any key). The peaceful music was relaxing. It's still really nice!

oh wow the effect of switching worlds is so cool! I really like the concept of this entry.

One thing I'm not sure of is whether or not you're supposed to be able to go through the purple portals? I couldn't figure out a way (I did see a bug on the itch page, but it said it was fixed), and I couldn't find some of the ingredients to make the salty meaI and couldn't figure out how to finish it. I did beat the monster at the end of the part of the dungeon I could access though, I did have to go back and make some treats to restore my HP during the fight haha

I also appreciate option to view the final story cutscene, thats a nice touch for a jam game.

Nice entry, really cool concept!
