Fun little NES inspired endless runner. Felt kind of like back to the future but a lot more polished!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Definitely got some NES inspiration, but there is an end! I promise haha

The character movement and animation/audio feedbacks feels nice and satisfying! Great work with the trails and vfx as well!

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Sad, this game looked fun but it lags crazy bad for me for some reason.

Developer

Interesting... You're the first person to mention any lag. Did you try multiple browsers? If so, could you let me know which ones so I can try them out as well.

Submitted

Hi, yes, I did only try it on Chrome (that’s the one I use) and on Edge.

But i’m pretty sure it must be a “me” issue, lol.

Developer

They work for me so I guess you're right. Sorry to hear that.

Love that circular pulse effect. Wish I could see more to the right. I'm not good.

Developer

Perhaps and update can be made in the near-future. Thanks for playing!

Great game!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Nice polish! Game loop is nice and very replayable. Each time I played I discovered some new feature about the game. Nice job!

Developer

It would awesome to see you beset score! I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for playing

Gameplay is smooothhhhhhh! I understand that the small screen size was in lieu of the lowrez jam but it hard for me to enjoy the game 100%.

Developer

Thanks! That seems to be the consensus. I think I'll update it in the near-future!

Submitted(+1)

Fun game! Very polished with nice pixel art. The small screen size makes it hard to predict some of the oncoming obstacles, especially the missiles, but otherwise it fits well. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I think the small screen size could be remedied fairly easily in the future.

Submitted(+1)

i love the cute pixel art!i also like how snappy the movement is and i had quite alot of fun but i didnt realy manage to find all the collectables :(,if there is anythink i can suggest is increasing the field of view to have enough time to react to obstacles, other than that great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I made this game for two jams (one of which imposed a 64x64 resolution). I think I'll definitely do a version with wider aspect ration in the future. Thanks again for playing!

Submitted

Oooh that explains the resolution, also you're welcome! i would love to know what you think of my game too.

Submitted(+1)

Fun game! Liked trying to find all of the collectables and improving my time. Great art style as well, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and thanks for posting your score! Hopefully others will as well

Congrats on your submission SLAIN MASCOT, a hectic fun game with great feedback in terms of vfx and sfx.

Developer(+1)

With such small screen real estate and such high speeds, I really tried to lean into the franticness. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Interesting! The aspect ratio definitely limits how far you can see ahead. Art, music, and sound effects are beautiful and pixely.

Developer (1 edit)

I agree. I tried my best to have the player end up on one side of the screen when moving at speed. Perhaps I'll do a 16:9 or at least a 4:3 resolution update later.

The robot was full random in the confusion

Developer

Sorry, I'm not really sure what you mean. The robot only has one move.

Submitted

Nothing just a coment passing by, i liked the way he makes drift when he goes up or down

Submitted(+1)

Charming art. I was quite a bit faster than my ability to see/dodge in time.

Developer (1 edit)

It definitely tests your reflexes, but there are strategies to help! Thanks for playing!
