This is really the best game I've played on this game jam.
The cover was awesome and the black and white color choice were strenghtening the feeling of supernatural/extraterrestrial of when the meteor/creature arrived in a burst of colorful lights, which usually gives the sensation of happiness, but on this game it's the opposite, it made me both curious and worried.
I've played it twice because on the first time I was unable to reach the car, because I was really amazed to see the creature in the end, as it caused me to stop and stare at it with both the sensation of amusement and panic, so I started running to my car to flee the creature too late.
Just the sensation of walking the woods during night made my breath heavier, so I can tell the game was breathtaking, even for a game jam project.
Thanks! We hope to have even scarier games for our future projects, we're glad you enjoyed the experience, stay safe!
good
Thanks!
The atmosphere in the game is really nice, also the sound and the intro with the menu. Once you start the game you have a nice cinematic and you really wonder what's going to happen next. The only down side and it's understandable being a jam game is that there's no initial tutorial or indicators to guide the player better. Just by adding that, something small, maybe even as you approach the places you need to interact with having the character saying something about it, etc. It won't break immersion and will help get things better from the beginning. But there's a lot of nice potential in this and the art and how the map was designed is really nice! Lovely work!
Dalkien - Haunting Humans.
Thanks for the in-depth review! We will definitely add the tutorials/indicators and better player guidance in our very first updates, Thanks again for the interest in our game!

The atmosphere is great, I was constantly in tension. The menu design is just wow!
Will note that there is a lot of space for exploration around the main location, if to fill it with gameplay, a reason for exploring, it will be very cool.
P.S. The observation tower in the distance seems especially suspicious. Like someone knows something 🤔 Or is it just me?
Thanks! We are glad you enjoyed the atmosphere, we will add some more exploring in future updates, reasons to walk around, maybe you will even find out who was at the observation tower 👀
The visuals were great, though I spent most of my time not knowing I needed to put down the briefcase. The colors and monster were wonderful.
Thank you!
Sorry about the briefcase thing, We will work on some better player guidance systems once the game jam is over.
the opening was pretty slick! the game was difficult to parse though, i couldn't really figure out what the game wanted from me in a few places which led me to run around the map looking for what to do. placing the briefcase for instance, the indicator is hard to see and my character doesn't hint towards what i should be doing like in other parts. the critter at the end was cool looking though, very surreal which i enjoyed and left me with an overall good impression despite the bumps. also, i like the cover image!
Thanks for the feedback! We will definitely look into improving player guidance in our next projects, glad you enjoyed the experience despite the bumps!
The best justification for a black and white game i've ever seen.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! 😃
This is another one that I'm un bable to unzip for some reason, which is really disappointing because it looks so good! The visuals are some of the best this jam has to offer imo.
Thanks for the compliments on the visuals!
And that is strange, what error do you get when you try to unzip? I could try uploading it uncompressed to Gdrive or somewhere else if you are okay with that and if it isn't against the jam rules.
I dont think its something on your end, its just windows failing to unzip and giving an unknown error. If you'd be happy to do that that would be great!
Alright, i will look into a way to send the uncompressed files, google drive apparently zips the folder whenever you try to download, and will recheck the rules to be sure there won't be any problems.
I will keep you updated here, thanks for the interest!
I am surprised at the polish this game has. I wish I could play the full version!
I have found a few issues. Bright object with a lot of texture (grass during the day) seem to flicker a lot when they move or when the player moves. The flashlight is very weak and keeps everything very dark. The object blueprints are a bit hard to see.
I also wish the player was directed to see the second "meteorite" instead of being directed to drive away. Otherwise, stellar work, keep it up!
Thank you!
Hopefully we will make a full version of this game someday, but there definitely will be some small content updates after the Jam ends. We will look into ways to solve the flickering, it is possibly because of the way we made the grass, and we will increase flashlight strength slightly, sorry about the project blueprints, in our next projects we will look into better ways to direct players, thanks for the feedback!
Love the stylized graphics! Flashlight is a little wonky and it might need some more in-game notes (because I completely forgot I could scroll the mousewheel to switch tools until I double-checked the page), but for the very beginning of a first game from a new studio, it is a solid start!
Thank you for the kind words 😁 ! We're considering making the flashlight brighter and adding in-game notes/controls once the game jam concludes.
