TWISTY SKIES! Windows download has (hopefully) been fixed!

Submitted

Just made my let’s play on your game as a regular player (so it’s without voice comments). I hope it will be useful for you to see how fresh players may started your game for the first time :) I’ll provide text comments later, probably after finishing the videos for other projects :)

This video is for an old version. The new version has just been uploaded.

Please double-check the Windows version. It has only 600kb size and can’t be launched

Im sorry,  I'll upload the real file this afternoon.

Its FIXED!

The concept is good, and I agree with other commenters that using something other than a plane might work better.

I could rotate the planes with A and D, but I'm not sure if W and S are used to do anything?

I liked that there was some leeway between the desired angle and what my plane was actually doing..

Glad you enjoyed! In the new update I fixed the help section saying "WASD".

Simple intuitive idea. Art too simplistic. Airplanes also don't fly like that, so it might be better to have a more abstract approach to the game play.

Lacks a bit the "wanna play again" for me, as it is quite repetitive.

Some UI remarks: there's no "Quit" button, Shift is non-intuitive (was expecting Space)

Thanks for the feedback! I took a course and this was the game that I made for it, so that is why it has "simplistic art". The course let me use this art for free. As for the missile button, SHIFT is what I would normally use, but I will look into using Space. Thanks!

Cool & simple but pretty hard.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed!

Feedback:

  • "Launch" Missiles typo. Also capitalize your sentences, small things can help with polish.
  • Nice Unforeseen challenge - getting killed by the rotating obstacles on the backend after making it through!
  • Repetitive, even varying sizes of the same obstacles could help a bit.
  • Music left me on edge, could be good or bad, but was a distractor for me.
  • Consider a limited use slow down mechanism?
  • Quit button missing.

Thanks for the feedback! In the new update I just made, I fixed the typos, possibly fixed the repetitive gameplay, changed the music, added a slowdown powerup, and added a quit button. Try the update!

Overall fun: it's simple and the concept is known to work, but there is only 2 types of obstacles and there is no speed update over time it seems.

UI: simple, couple typos!

Art: it's a start! I like that you can select multiple types of planes but missiles on a tiny plane do not make a lot of sense haha

Sound/music: They looks like placeholders for now

Thanks for the feedback! I don't really work on this project, and it was my first game, and I just put up to see what would happen. Also, thanks for pointing out typos! I rushed through making this game, but again, thanks!
