  • Good entry overall. the art, sfx, and music were all great. If there was any issue with the game I think it could use a little more balancing. There's no penalty for holding the mouse down and swinging your sword forever so that's really the only way to play, which gets boring after a while. Since you said a big inspiration was the top down LoZ games in those link has to stand still while swinging his sword so mashing attack to win isn't something you can do. Figuring out how to balance the swing would go a long way. I realized a little late that at the end you were supposed to run back to the beginning and not fight the queen bee. I understand now why you had to go back to the beginning in the tutorial, but it didn't register to me at first that I needed to do the same thing and I got hit multiple times by the boss before realizing. Some more feedback to the player letting them know they can't fight the queen would be great. I also don't think this is the strongest implementation of the theme. I thought it was cool in concept but I didn't feel like I was controlling the firefly guiding the red bug, it just felt like I was playing as the red bug with a flashlight moving in front of me. Something like controlling the firefly with the mouse and having the red bug follow you could have really hammered that theme home
  • Cool game ! Special mention to the playable tutorial. Nice to find your way into the maze, cool enemy variety and that chase at the end was cool !

Very fun game and loved the art style!

A really cute dungeon crawler game - the art style was good, the audio was great, and I died quite a few times. The combat style just didn’t work for me… I’m just a bad player! XD The theme… was stretched somewhat. The firefly didn’t really do any guiding. Still, it was a fun solid entry. Nice one!

Your game loos very good, and the tutorial is very well made in the style of the Binding of Isaac, great work! I had some trouble with my attacks collisions and found it hard to aim with the mouse, that got me killed pretty fast.

The pixel art looks really clean, well done!
The theme wasn't clear until I read the description. It says that the firefly is guiding the red guy, it would have been interesting to see the player control the firefly and the red guy follow close behind. That way it would seem like you are guiding him around in a gameplay sense.
Cool entry.

Good game.

Nice combat and nice art, although I dont know how it fits the theme aside from "guiding" your companion through the rough like, I think there was potential to add more than that, but still nice game.

+ I like the concept.

- The weapon swoosh is barely visible and too small in range which makes fighting feel kinda akward

- Whish there was one more unique mechanic to the game

It reminds me of the Binding of Isaac. The game is fun, they killed me very quickly haha
Good job!!

I found it very entertaining, Blinding of Isaac style. I missed that there were more weapons to use. But art and mechanics have seemed very attractive to me. Good job!

Your game for sure reminds me of The Binding Of Isaac and Cult Of The Lamb combat, which I LOVE. I agree with Dukykitsune that the melee range is a bit short, making it difficult to kill the moving enemies. Other than that, this is a swell game. I checked out your LTGD game as well and loved the design.

Thanks:D and yeah, I agree that the player's range is too short causing the combat between moving enemies to be difficult. probably should do improve on it later.

Loved the art and the story but I feel like the player melle range is extremely small making it so u have to take damage to deal which in turn leads to clunky combat
