A couple performance issues like you've already pointed out, but I love the fish games that get to the heart of simple collecting! I didn't TOTALLY understand the interplay between the three resources, but I had a lot of fun just rolling the dice and collecting fish . Felt like I caught a legendary pokemon when the stats were good and was honestly amazed by the sheer variety of fish you made. Great job!
Interessting game with nice drawings :)
IMPORTANT: the current web version [1.0] has an error that prevents the "FishDisplay" menu from opening. I have fixed this in the [1.1] version, which I will upload after the voting period has ended. Until then, either play the windows version, or do not click on any fish in the Album or Home menus.
Web edition gets hung up, but you seem to know that. If you make any updates to the web version, let me know and I can try again.
Yeah, it seems to crash when trying to load the "FishView" after clicking on a fish either in the album or on the home page. Certainly not ideal, but I should be able to upload a fix at the end of the jam period. Thank you for trying anyway!
The web version should now be as bug-free as the windows version, and I also increased the game speed to make up for pygame-web's lag issues & the lack of a save file. If you try again I hope you enjoy!
Lots of differents, cool and good designed fish (i only missed 2) !
the lack of any sound effect make the game a bit bland but the gameplay is cool (maybe add an end goal ?)
Sadly I didn't have time to add sounds or an end goal (beyond collecting all the fish), but thank you for playing!
The fish are pretty creative. Game seems to crash (or at least the web edition does) when clicking on a fish in the album though. I wanted to take another look at Hatsune Mahi :(
Ah thank you for the bug report! I just tried and the crash is indeed only on the web version, I'll try to get a fix sorted by the end of the jam period.
I always love a good collectible album, very cute fish designs!!
Nice concept, I liked the different fishes with various art credits. It seemed to lack any loss conditions or challenge that I could tell, I think an element like that would be a good addition.
Thanks for playing, and for the feedback! I didn't want to punish the player if they were unlucky, or make the game impossible to continue, but I do agree that if I had more time I would have added some actual gameplay to the game.
