The second theme "GeoMusic" and the image inspired me to make this theme, largely inspired by the Hollow Knight's OST, evoking deep underground crystal caves.
I use fourth chords colours to evoke the crystals, and deep basses for the underground part. Slow tempo and repeated arpeggios for a meditative mood.
I tried at first many other things, tried to follow the "break the rules" challenge, but nothing satisfied me. I wanted to orchestrate the piece at some point, but I lacked the time to do so. Anyway, thanks for listening, any feedback is highly appreciated :D

I liked the melody around ~40s in, dipping into optimistic before lulling into contemplative. You put a lot of thought towards how the melody and the harmony interplay, and it shows in the work.
I cant wait to hear this orchestrated cause I think it would sound so amazing with some low ends to bring out the depth of your composition even more. This was really pretty even as just a piano track though and I think you nailed the idea you were going for. Awesome submission! :)
That's such a nice comment, thank you so much !
I really love the elegance you achieve through your simple arrangement as it highlights the rich personality in your melodies as well as the full range of frequencies a single piano is able to capture. Because I do feel attached to its solitude, I think that maybe leaning further into ambient sound design and experimenting with sound effects might work really well to add depth in fun subtle ways.
Yeah I want to learn sound design at some point, I think you're right it could be a nice addition to bring some depth on some tracks !
But for now I'm kinda lost in all the technical stuff, so I'm keeping it simple and "acoustic" for now :D
Thanks for taking the time and for the feedback ๐
Very beautiful! I admire the intentionality behind your choices. I would've loved to hear what it would've sounded like orchestrated though since your OST Minigame Jam submission was so impressive haha
Thanks a lot ! Maybe next time I'll have the time to orchestrate :D
Your submission is very cool too, nice job, and thanks for taking the time to listen and comment ๐
This is such a beautiful piece! I feel like you very much captured the feeling of a lingering and ancient memory with this one. It's very peaceful and melancholy and I think it really suits the theme well. Nice job!
Thanks for the nice feedback, very glad you liked it !
Very nice stuff, can definitely hear the Hollow Knight influence without it feeling too close to it.
The piece develops very well as it goes along with the rises and falls in intensity
Thanks a lot ๐
wow i like the feeling this sensitive piece stirs up! and it seems really fitting for a crystal cave inside a volcano
Thanks youuuu ๐
Great Track. I love the piano
Thank you ๐
Very emotional piece, beautiful atmosphere. I think that it doesn't need orchestration, although it would be interesting to see how the emotional impact changes. Surely the piano only version makes it very intimate and meditative, well done
Thanks, glad you liked it :D
I was thinking of a small chamber formation maybe, but in the end it's nice piano solo. Wanted maybe to give the lead to a cello, but my VST was so awfull I kept it this way haha
Thanks for the feedback !
I see the Hollow Knight influence, sounds great dude. Melancholic and inspiring piano, im curious if you used a recording or a VST too.
Thanks you mate ! As I said in the comment below, I recorded my playing with my digital piano, using Pianoteq 8 as a VST. Had to quantize some passages due to a lack of time to practice the piece, so some passage sounds too robotic unfortunately.
Thanks for taking the time and feedback !
I listened before reading the description. It may be inspired by hollow knight but u've got a unique beautiful style, i really loved it. Is it a record of you playing or you make everything with plugins?
Thank you so much, i'm glad you like it ๐
As for the track recording, I plug my digital piano on Ableton and record the piece with metronom. Due to lack of time, I had to quantize some passages, and honestly I've overdone it, as some passages sound to "robotic" to my taste. But yeah for the most part, it's me playing ! The VST I used for the piano sound is Pianoteq 8, the New York Steinway one.
Again, thanks for taking the time to listen, means a lot <3
So you're a great player ๐ u've got +1point for me ๐
Still working everyday, got so much to learn on the technical side especially ! Thanks for the nice comments <3
