Great little arcadey game! The core gameplay is solid and adding an endless mode was a smart idea, I can see myself sinking hours into it. The art is very pretty! my one complaint is that the last level before endless one in the story mode dragged on for way too long for my taste, kinda ruined the pacing of the story for me. But that's a very minor complain. Awesome job!
Thank you! Yeah, I won't lie, Story Mode got less polish than Endless Mode, it was a last-minute addition and if I could do it over I'd probably ditch it entirely and try something else. I really appreciate your feedback, thank you!
What a clever idea! This turns a concept that has been done a million times before into something that feels unique and fresh. I enjoyed it much more than I had originally expected. I love the spritework! And the meta story around it is a nice touch and actually makes you want to keep playing to learn about the whole story. I really felt bad for my old friend.

Nice arcad-y puzzle game. The graphics are awesome and the idea is also "cool".
But i wonder, in endless mode sometimes when i picked up a heart it damaged me. Or can i only collect hearts when i'm red?
That's unfortunately a rare bug that happens occasionally, sorry about that! You should be able to get hearts no matter what colour you are.

A good game, but not for the Game Boy DMG without color :p . I still tested it on it and it works, but impossible to know which fire to take, and which fire to let pass. The Game Boy color version is good, but a bit fast for me from the first level, you need fire reflexes :D
Yeah, sorry, I was going to put in a lockout screen but ran out of time! In a perfect world I'd have found an alternate solution to make it playable on DMG (I was thinking different shapes or something) but again, ran out of time 😅
At first I thought that the character was changing his head, and that we had to rely on his expressions, but I quickly realized that not :D
I did also consider this, but I didn't think it would be clear enough, the main mechanic really needs colour to be readable that quickly.

Thank you! I really wanted to include a high score feature but it was sadly something that had to be cut to get the game done in time. Hopefully I can add one when I revisit it later.

Fun game, and not too hard at all. Granted, I only played the endless mode personally. But I watched the story mode on stream, so that kinda counts for something, right? And as an unsolicited shameless plug, I think this game would be great fit for the next WarioWare style game jam if/when I host it. :^)
