Hello, want to see the sequel :)

What do you use to make it ? gbdk ? other ?

Developer

hi, this was made using gb studio

Cool concept! I'm assuming that part of the time-change mechanic is just a simple palette swap, but gosh-darn is it satisfying to do! And the animation is great (albeit, a bit quick) as well.

If you continue work on this, I'd love to see it!

Developer(+1)

yeah its a simple palette swap, so if u used it indoors then go outside, the rffect is still there but the colors reset,  the animation could be slower in "the full game" ill change em up a biit. thank u

really great concept for why you would need to defeat the bosses! I hope you continue to develop this idea into a full project.  I think the game has a lot of potential and I’d love to play a complete version of it! 🤠

Developer

that idea stemmed from ocarina of time's looming moon threat. thanks!

I like the rolling effect and the time changing - well done. And I love the graphics: everything looks very nice and polished. Too bad you were only given 7 days.. ;-)

Developer

i had 4 days, coz i didnt know there was a game jam behore hand XD The graphics had to change if this is gonna be a full game tho.

Very nice to walk on your map ! It lacks a bit of music and sound effects, but I think the project was clearly too ambitious for a 7 days jam :) . I hope to see the sequel in a more or less near future, be careful with the Zelda assets, here they are clearly identifiable, and Nintendo doesn't like that ;) .

Developer

thanks, yeah it was kinda hard to make the assets as distinct as possible since the Zelda assets are much more recognizable and simple. Hard to make a similar yet diff tile without looking like the og. dont worry, i decided to make this a fully pledge game in the near future, too ambitious yeah but i love the character so much XD

Awesome game! I like it!

Thank you!

The controls are nice, I love the feel, I just couldn't find much more than plants to fight. but boy did I kick the crap outa them plants. I feel like a winner.

There is a bug when you roll out of a building you move very fast afterwards.

I know it's supposed to be more open world feel, but i would love a little more direction early on such as a problem or mystery to solve.

Let me know if I missed a boss battle, or add one later and I will totally try it out

hi, as this was only a proof of concept game it only  shows the mechanic and walking and atackng, theres no gameplay here. Dont worry tho, ill be making this into a full game soon

Hello,
I think it's a pity that with such a well done art direction there is no music to accompany it.
Otherwise, the rolling makes you want to explore the world, the controls are very good, well done!

Developer

thanks! i started the dev focusing on the  atacking and rolling features and im proud of what it became, sorry that its not a full game or even a demo, but ill make it a full game as soon as im done with my prev proj
