Well that went from tediously easy to bullet hell, real quick, haha. I never really found these kinds of endless games very engaging. With that said, the physics based rope really sold it for me. I liked the art, nothing feels phoned in to me. Good job!
This was a lot of fun to play. Reminds me of some of these old and weirdly engaging flash games, in a positive way. I've lost many hours to this kind of game. I liked the art style, too - I saw that you made it all yourself, and that's quite an accomplishment.
I wonder if the game would benefit from being a little faster? As it stands, the first 100m or so are fairly straightforward, and the dodging only becomes interesting after that. Maybe the "grace period" could be shortened a little?
This could also work really well on mobile devices, with dragging the thief left and right instead of keyboard controls.
All in all, well done! This was fun.
That's dope that it reminded you of those games! I used to play little games like that online as a kid all the time haha thanks for the feedback :)
Thanks for the feedback, glad you had an overall enjoyable experience
Haha I swing him a lot that he has hit everything possible 🤣🤣🤣
Super fun and cute game I would say. Nice job 👍
Happy to hear you had fun playing!
This was a fun and cute game! Wow I was bad at it at first and the little thief got pelted with arrows haha great job on making a fun game!
Thank you!
Good job for a solo submission. Had some fun with this one.
I only wonder if you could have engage with the theme more. E.g. having the player have to choose when to get back out (recover) their loot rather than just pick it up and the more loot they had the harder it was to control. Maybe I thought of that because it reminded me of 'Tiger Tiger' Minigame from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that I have been playing recently.
Nice, glad you had fun! Yeah that makes sense, forcing the player to make a choice on whether to leave with the loot they have or risk it to keep going would've been a good addition. I'll keep that sort of idea in mind for future games.
I think it is a very cool concept of collecting treasures in this way while descending from a rope! I just feel bad for the thief -- he has to endure a lot!
Thanks! Yes he does haha
