What was your favourite part of working on your game during GDM?
Discovering the 3D game development. I have been creating games for about 7 years but all of them have been in 2D.

What was the hardest part of creating your game?
Understanding how the lights works! I learned how to model in 3D, how to code, etc. but lights are still a pain!

Did you use any pre-existing assets in your submission?
Yes, I did. I downloaded a few 3D free models from the Unity assets store and HUD icons.

This game was a fun experience. There are some pretty significant issues though. I understand this game was trying to imitate the N64 experience, but I feel like the camera system should not have been taken from that era, as it makes it incredibly difficult to determine jumps. I feel that if you wanted to use this type of camera, you should try and snap the camera back behind the character's back after a bit of movement, which is what many games of the time and today do to simplify the controlling of the camera. The difficulty of depth perception is also pushed by the lack of a 'fake shadow', a common trick in 3D platformers to help players determine where the character will land. I enjoyed the surreal visuals, the low poly style helped to push the vibe of the game. I especially liked the soundtrack, where its soundfont really pushes the N64 vibe. You did a nice job with this game, and it was ultimately a fun experience that had a lot of charm.

This game was pretty fun and well polished. Having the controls just on the screen was a nice touch.  I wasn't sure of the point of gathering the ingredients other than the story. The camera was really the only thing I didn't like in the game. Using the mouse to move the camera around would have been much more intuitive. I just tried using a controller and it is much easier and intuitive because it has you moving the right stick for the camera. Anyway, that being said, well done!

A classic gathering style game with nice music that doesn't get on your nerves. The visuals were very nice, reminded me of styles like Zelda, very nice to look at. The camera was a bit aggravating at times, but mostly because it was unfamiliar, and it became less of a bother as I adapted to it.

It was a fun and cute game. I liked the different levels, especially the moon level since it plays differently. I like the dance animation at the end of the levels. The music was good too. I think it would benefit to have a way to move the camera up and down so you could check and see if you were able to go over a gap or not. Also there is some sort of issue with the jump collisions. I got stuck in a wall on the first stage and something about the landing feels kind of laggy or slow. Difficulty was on the easy side, but I think that's ok for this game.

Very fun game, was an enjoyable experience to play! As I had said on stream, I like how the collectibles encourage the player to explore the maps you have laid out, I think that's a very natural design philosophy to follow. I would love to see more "exceptions" to rules of how the game works, sort of like the moon level you had where gravity was lower.

Watching Keltfires Twitch stream atm. He is playing your game, so I  was using the chance to rate.

It's a great polished game, I like that you designed each level individually. Sounds also blends in  well.

Good game!

Really love the look and feel. Definitely harkens back to the N64 days. I like how the camera clicks around in segments. Sounds and music are nice. A lot of potential for levels with the way you are switching things up. Also, a very sweet (pun intended) tribute to your wife. Nicely done.

Cool game. Love that snapping camera rotation. Simple but engaging. But it requires some polishing. ☺

Not too shabby times!

As someone who used to dabble in Super Mario 64 ROM hacking, this is my kinda game. Visuals and music were really charming, and I appreciate how simple it is to pick up and play. I think the levels could've used some more specific mechanics or hazards, and the game as a whole could've done more to stand out as a 3D platformer. Still, I had a fun time.

I had a lot of issue with the collisions on the the movie platforms. Might want to fix that.

Otherwise this was good. The dance elevates this too. So cute.

Cool platformer!  I wish I could look up / down to help me find the ingredients.  I liked how the camera rotated in sections ala mario 64, so I get what you were going for!   I loved her little dance at the end! :D
