A "shot" is the thing you take with a camera so I made a game about lunar photography.

Wow! I had a blast playing your game! I enjoyed every single piece of it.

Great immersive experience, where the player is not punished or being able to get killed but quite the opposite, just relax and travel through the space area taking pictures, such an innovative idea.

I love the different tunes depending of the place you are, the effects and the smooth controls, even the landing or take off is really well done, it kind of reminds me to “No Man’s Sky”.

Outstanding job!

OOoo i really like this game! its so chill, and really unique! I’ve never played a game where photography is a core element! I liked exploring, and really like the scenes :) You should make a google drive where folks can share their images :D I think itd be neat to see various folks’ photos

Very cool game and technically very well implemented. The mood comes out well and you take your time to take a good picture. Congrats for your entry. Well done!

I love this! There aren't enough photography games in my life. It was super fun going around exploring and trying to set up the most visually appealing shots. The art is beautifully made, I especially liked taking pictures of the rings and the ruins on the planet closest to the sun.

This is so cool! Beautiful to look at and an awesome narrative to push you forward while holding everything together :D

Definitely going to be playing this for while!

Beautiful game, strong Outer Wilds vibes, love it!

Thanks! If nothing else, making it gave me new appreciation for how difficult it is to design planets that feel as interesting and unique as the Outer Wilds ones.

You should watch Noclip's Outer Wilds documentary if you haven't already, its really fascinating how they solved some problems!

Really beautiful graphics! I haven't seen a lot of 3D games that have successfully pulled off a cohesive art style but you guys have done that beautifully. The gameplay is super smooth as well!

Developer

Thanks! That means a lot, especially since I've seen your game already and it looks incredible!

Getting the overall look right was one of my primary goals for this one; I've never done 3D art myself before, so I'm pretty happy that it seems to have worked out,

Thanks again, and I hope your game gets a lot of players!

I enjoyed putting around the planets, and seeing the various ruins on each. It's quite a creative idea and interpretation of "moonshot", bonus points for originality. :)

I look forward to perusing the code to see how you achieved some of the mechanics!

Developer

Thanks! Hopefully the code is fairly readable; I'm from a game engine background (which puts a lot of emphasis on clear code and planning out APIs), but game jams aren't really the best environment for producing beautiful or well-documented systems. If you do have any questions about any of it I'm sure I'd be happy to answer them (assuming I still remember anything whatsoever about this codebase a week from now)!

The game is really nice. I like the low poly art and colours. Travel times between planets are not too long. Also walking on such small planets feels almost like being the little prince.

Generally I don't like too much text in games, but in this game there's just the right amount of narrative to have a purpose. And still it felt very open-ended.

Secretly I hoped there will be another episode after the first one ;-)

Developer

Thanks! The list of influences is a long one, but I'm sure Saint-Exupéry is in there somewhere (there might have even been a rose somewhere in one of my early design sketches). I'm glad you enjoyed your time with the game!
