Really great stylish game. Love the musical score too.
This is such a unique art style, with the music this game brings you to a certain mood. With the interesting cartoon looking characters, this game surely stands out from all the entries. The gameplay is fun too. Great feel on the jumps. The only bad thing is I encountered a bug on one of the levels where I fell through the ground and basically did not respawn. I tried using the reload option from the menu but it did not help. So I had to quit the game.
Top notch!! 🤩
Awesome art and sound. Love it, great job!
Absolutely fantastic game. Short sweet and enjoyed from start to finish. Great job!
Woahhh I loved this, was really funny. Everything tied together really well. Played with one of our other devs, I think one of the best things for us was that there are no cutscenes, you play through it all, yet it seemed so cinematic.
Thanks :O
I and my wife both really enjoyed this game. We played on the controller, btw, so gliding felt smooth. Kudos for the art and music. You managed to recreate the atmosphere of a silent film, but the game feels more like a fable.
There's a minor gameplay issue on the screen with a central pillar (the last screenshot). If the player falls through near the pillar, it's impossible to come back and the scene has to be reloaded from the menu.
oh nice catch! haha
And thanks for the review :)
Wow great game! Good gameplay, great art obviously! A few times I fell off of the level without dying, but luckily you had a restart screen button.
The art is incredible for a 1-month project! it felt really well and gave some nice vibes!
I enjoyed it really well! :)
thank you :-D
Loved it to the moon and back.
What a lovely game! A s a big fan of Trip To The Moon I enjoyed it a lot. Georges Melies meets Cuphead. Wish it was longer. Wanna play more of this. If you ever make a full game please message us.
thanks!!! well it wasnt in my plans but who knows :-p I was thinking fixing bugs and maybe adding more levels after the vote, like intended in the 1st place
I love the game . the art is beautiful
The artwork was very high quality and fit the homage to the source material incredibly well.
I enjoyed this a lot.
It’s a good game overall, but the art and sound design are just so good. Very well done!
completly lovely, congrats, it's a beautful game.
Beautiful artwork and clever mechanics. I’d suggest modifying the keymap. Space, O, and P are pretty tough to reach all at the same time if I’m using my left hand. (right for arrows). If I was supposed to use WASD for movement they didn’t work on Linux.
I want to compliment you on the smooth sprite animations too. Very well done.
thank you for suggestions!
I personnally hate playing on the keyboard that's why I made these poor choices haha... do you suggest something like "e" and "f"?
Ha! I much prefer keyboards. To each his own. :-)
O, P, and Space work if the movement is WASD. But E, F and Space would work well if you keep arrows for movement.
What a fun and interesting game to play! I liked the story of it, and it was a very suitable graphics and music in the entirety. Well done :)
thanks :-D
I loved the art and music, it was a bit hard for me to play but overall it was great! :)
thanks! Do you play with the keyboard? I guess it's easier with a pad :)
Yes, I played with the keyboard, that attack button gave me hard times hahaha.
I absolutely adore the artwork here! It's such a charming style, and definitely captures that "old-timey" feeling. The game does such a lovely job of creating an experience reminiscing on the original film, down to the fun details like the stars and poofing into smoke! The mechanics were fun too. I really loved playing it.
Thank you so much!
happy to hear this!
